Mani Ratnam Vs Kamal Haasan at the TN box-office!
Looks like Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain and Mani Ratnam’s O Kadhal Kanmani will be clashing at the box office and both these films are doing excellent pre-release business.
After the Tamil Nadu and Telugu rights of O Kadhal Kanmani have been sold to Studio Green and Dil Raju, now prominent distributor Prime Media has bagged the USA distribution rights of the film.
Interestingly Prime Media has also snapped the USA rights of Uttama Villain while the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights are with Eros and popular Tollywood producer C Kalyan is holding the Telugu dubbing rights of the film.
According to trade sources, O Kadhal Kanmani will be releasing on April 10 which means the film will be competing against Kamal’s Uttama Villain which is also slated for release on the same day.
It is worth to mention that both Mani Ratnam’s Thalapathi and Kamal Haasan’s Guna were released for 1991 Diwali, similarly Vishwaroopam (outside Tamil Nadu) and Kadal got released on February 1, 2013.

Not many times you wake up humming a song you listened the previous night. Mental Manadhil did exactly that to me. ARR again proves that age is just a number and has come up with such a groovy, peppy number. Hats off!!
This is not the usual slow poison Rahman song that grows on you with every listen. It straightaway sits easy on your ears. If this song is anything to go by, I an expecting a classic album once again from the proven combo.
Heard nonstop such a addiction ARR:smokesmirk:
What a mesmersising voice.....after Pakthagudi,Mahivae from Highway this one instant earworm..
Got me hooked the very first time I listened to it as part of the teaser.
After a long time an ARR song which I like : thumbsup:
Its been long time since a Rahman song being liked by me on the first listen, padal arumai, addicted and on loop
Loving ARR after a very long time. This track took me right back to my childhood, the 90's ARR I loved and missed. Song is on repeat just for how ARR sings 'taka taka taka' and 'OK en kanmani madiyil' 👌
nice song
 its opposite for me.. First time not liking an arr number..
