KVA is a good commercial director. He will definitely bring out another dimension of Vijay as ARM did. Moreover he might be more cautious after average Maattrraan (just like ARM after 7A).
Regarding HJ he was good in Thuppakki. Though BGM was repetitive it was used at right places. I could notice people in theater go hyper whenever the BGM starts. The main drawback is they didn't promote other songs except Google Google before the movie release. Also movie's pace was fast and people really didn't want to see any song which reduced their interest.
I personally felt if they have chopped Kutti puli kootam and Vennilave song movie would have been more crisp.
HJ is crap! Google google song is good only cos of Vijay and Andrea singing plus some good lyrics! BGM in the movie was funny to say the least except for few scenes, cant keep thinking how bigger the impact wud have been with a kickass MD! Nanban layum sodhappal - cant even remember a half decent song from the movie! Yuvan or GVP or even Manisharma wud be good.
