I think you were partial in hitting only Sivaji and TMS. Why the hell IR chose SPS to sing this? Its like a thaththa and pEththi singing together a duet. Kashtamppa :lol: Oru eli kaththarappla SPS paaduvaanga :lol:

In this movie, there are 2 more songs "Aadal pAdalil ulagame mayangAdho" (TMS solo; this is good to listen) and Yaar mAmanO (SJ solo Or duet with TMS??).

Idhai vidunga Ramki.. have you seen a kasmaalam movie called yemanukku yeman, a blend of charaacters frok heaven and earth :lol:. Sivaji played dual roles Yema dharma raaja and a YOUTHFUL guy :lol: with Sripriya. Oru song he dances with Jayamalini... ayyayO thaangadhu :lol:

Hi Ramki: according to raakkamma.com, vaarayo vaanmadhi is sung by Ramesh and Vidhya.

Is the singer for "poochudi pottum" (ponni) Jency? It looks like SPSailaja.

Annai thalaattu paada is very nice song, but PS finds bit difficult to go high notes. Strain is evident while return to pallavi.

SN23 'yaar maamano' is a SJ solo picturised on ASakunthala.
I havent watched 'yamanukku yaman'. Its a remkae of NTRs telugu hit. I think YY had a song with Sivaji and 3 apsaras(Jayamalini, jyothilakshmi and vijaylalitha(?))

I think i was in my 4th or 5 th std . I used to travel by pallavan and my hobby was to gaze the posters throught their rusty windows, pasted around panagal park and duraiswamy subway. One poster that i still remember is of sripriya and asokan(with kudumi) together for a weirdly titled film called 'odi viLaiyadu thatha'. I'm not sure if the film was just released or posters of their rerun. But i remember thinking what kind of pairing is that?(asokan and sri).
Neither the songs nor the film became popular.
Years later i discovered a PS solo 'oldellam gold un mandai bald' from OVT.
Then last month one of my anonymous sources sent me this jazzy breezy LRE solo. Until then i thought LRE had sung only one song in IR's music(from 'nalladhoru kudumbam').
When i started searching for further info, i discovered that the song was picturised on Sripriya. SOme of the stills i saw also had Jaiganesh in them. Not sure if he was the hero or villain.

Anyways enjoy this rare LRE solo :)

Ramki, this is really a surprise for me. LRE's song under IR in OVT. I knew only one song i.e.; PS's Oldellam goldu. Hats-off to you for the discovery, though this is a typical LRE song (not IR's touches).

There are couple of more songs by LRE under IR.
In Thirukalyanam she sang a duet with Malaysia vasu (not very sure) starts with "Neeee mohini illa illa oorvasi".
In Nallathodu kudumbam, duet with TMS "1 2 chacha cha"
In Idhaythil Or idam, solo starting with "maNapAra chandhayila"

I think VaarayO vaanmadhi is by Ramesh and a female singer (unheard after that). May not be Vidya, who sang quite a few songs (Chemmari aade chemmari aade seivadhu sariyaa sol alongwith BSS).

Still I am unable to bleieve this is an IR song. It sounds like a VEDHA song what with the arrangements resemble 'AAH AAHBI JAA...' song..

"Oldellam' was very famous when the movie released in 77/78.

Ramk can you please check your source again to see if there was a mistake. Or did the producer used an old song in the movie..?

The tune (as pointed out by Bala) sure has traces of the AB number from Inteqaam, but LRE here is more parody than pleasure :cry:
