I agree with you 100%, especially with the following:

*சிறிது சறுக்க வைப்பது out -dated தூய தமிழ். அதுவும் ஒரே ஒரு பாத்திரம் மட்டுமே தூய தமிழ் பேசும். நல்ல வசனங்களை கொண்டிருந்த ஆலய மணி,ஆண்டவன் கட்டளை போன்ற படங்களில் இந்த வகை வசனங்கள்
பெரும் குறையாக படும்.
*பட துவக்கமே ,அன்றைய ரசிகர்களுக்கு shock value கொண்டதாக பட்டிருக்கும். கதாநாயகிகள் கற்புக்கரசிகளாய் வலம் வந்த இந்திய திரையில் infatuation பற்றி பேசியது சாதா விஷயமல்ல. அன்றைய முதல் இடத்தில் இருந்த ஸ்டார் நடிகரின் படத்தில் இரண்டாம் ஹீரோ கதாநாயகியுடன் டூயட் பாடியது, கதாநாயகனை விட ,நண்பனை உயர் குணத்துடன் சித்தரித்தது எல்லாவற்றையும் பார்த்தால், நடிகர் திலகம் என்பவர் எப்படி நல்ல படங்களுக்காக ஒத்துழைத்தார் என்பது இமேஜ் இமேஜ் என்று ஓவர்-மார்க்கெட் செய்யும் இளைய தலை முறைக்கு பாடம்.
*கத்தி மேல் நடப்பது போன்ற கதையமைப்பில் ,சிறிதும் சறுக்காமல், அனைத்தையும் லாஜிக் உடன் justify பண்ணும் இயக்கம்.ரசிகர்கள் விரும்பும் அம்சங்களையும் அழகாக கலந்து, காமெடி அது-இது என்ற கதையை தொய்ய வைக்காத அற்புத இயக்குனர்.
*மனசாட்சியின் குரலை நசித்து, மிருக வசப்படும் உணர்வை, மிகையில்லாமல், melo -drama குறைத்து , positive ஆக சொன்ன மிக மிக சிறந்த படைப்பு ஆலய மணி என்று அடித்து சொல்லலாம்.
As you mentioned Mr Gopal, I personally believe, a few of NT movies have lost their well deserved recognition from the younger generation now, just because of their 'தூய தமிழ் வசனங்கள்'. Alayamani could have been an national award winning movie in terms of acting, story and songs...etc. But the beauty of these kind of movies where NT spoke 'தூய தமிழ் வசனங்கள்', he spoke the dialogues perfectly without any of the emotions/nuances affected, which could've been spoken in 'normal' Tamil. I most like Sivaji in negative characters; i,e: Vikaraman in 'Uthama Puthiran', Selvam in 'Iruvar Ullam', Barrister Rajinikanth and so on.. accordingly I like 'Alayamani' Thiyagu too.
