Yep,Moodupani has 2 unbelievable songs the groovy Sing Swing and the accoustically delightful Paruvakalangalin..Both are just amazing freaky numbers..Sad this album is mostly remembered only for En Iniya Pon Nilave..
கண்மணியே காதல் என்பது.....ஆரம்பகால இளையராஜா.
I don 't know what it is , my மனசு sometimes fly high in romance other times I feel heavy listening to this song .
ம்ம்ம்ம் maybe I miss the tear jerker ரஜினிகாந்த், the deep pathos this guy can naturally deliver with such ease ...now he moved him to stardom.
some of us ரசிச்சு you for different reasons ,we are your fans too as those தீபாராதனை crowd .
vinatha.
True - we have discussed in the early avatar of hub a lot about those songs and I still remember it as a song that our resident ARR crazy fan Maddy loves profusely.
But this one is a full blown number with two charanams and two full blown funky out of the world interludes.... This - in my opinion is the big momma of all such songs that Raaja has done... And in my opinion - no one has done any freakier song than this...
Revisit to Veetla Viseshanga Songs (:banghead: movie but nice songs!)
Faves: "Malarae Thendral Paadum" "Konjam Sangeetham"

Thank you skr and Querida for your encouragement. Very Glad you like these songs.
kAlaiyil kEttadhu kOvil mani from senthamizh pAttu - Multi-part choral harmony prelude is mind-blowing - the song continues the trend of 'shakes' further. Even the first interlude is full of it. Scale shift down (I think) to the charanam with tabla .. two/three nadai changes in the tabla as well.. now the pallavi repeats with drums+tabla. The second interlude tones down the 'shake' concept introduced earlier. Amazing .. was on repeat for the whole 45 min commute to work today. IR sometimes gets out scoring a duck like that happens to a talented cricketer, but this is a century .. beautifully played.. and I just as we evaluate and remember players for their centuries (or high scores) we remember IR.
Deepangale is a stunner to me. Hearing it for the first time. What a freakish number from IR. The vocals & orchestration in the first interlude reminds of a song from Black Sabbath's Paranoid (it's the only slow song of that album). Unbelievable singing from SPB.
Thanks Jai for this pick. It will take first place in my "Electric Raaja" playlist.
