GodFather sound track was released in the month of February 2006, the film's trailor was released (or leaked???) in the net somewhere in the end of Feb 2006 but then the film was in cans until 9 months later for that year's Diwali when it re-incarnated as Varalaru (KSR who initially mocked at protests for Tamil films to be titled in tamil by remarking "GodFather ah ThagappanSami nu maathuna nallava irukkum" later got lured (or forced by producer) at the tax exemption for Tamil titles) ... ithai than avar trailer ah jubilee kondaadichu aana padam varaleengalae nu kindal ah sonnar.....Quote:

Based on Rajamouli's Maryada Ramanna Telugu movie. Jassi is the Son of Sardhar, that Sardar who killed the Dad Sardar of Billu. Billu and his brothers seek revenge and vow to kill the Son of Sardar. Jassi comes to the village after 25 years to sell his father's land hoping that time would have shed down the enemity. But no, to his surprise the Billu Sardar & co still are looking for him. Accidently Billu invites Jassie to his house not knowing his real identity. When he comes to know who Jassie is, he is helpless as in his family tradtion Guests are conseidered to be God Sent and should be treated with kindness. Billu waits for the moment for Jassie to get out of his house, but Jassie knowing this weakness outwits Billu by not steping out of his house. How Jassie tackles Billu forms the rest of the story, humoriously told.

Ajay Devgan, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt : Comedy timing (Kamal/Crazy Mohan movie style). Special mention to Sanjay Dutt - The scenes where he gets angry that Ajay is still in his house and then tries to calm down are really funny.
Dialogues : Good Sardar jokes all through the films.
Stunts : Brainless stunts but looks interesting and comical on screen. Goes well with the ambience.

Towards the ends the story shifts to Hindi Style Romance. Sudden emotion drops your interest meter.

Overdose of illogical scences/stunts.
Overall a very good entertainer if you agree not to look for any intelligent stuff in movie. What Bol Bachan failed to do, Son of Sardar acomplishes it.

Yeah.. I liked it too, except for that 'naadaga' feel. Rumour is that Aishwarya Dhanush is soon going to remake it in tamil with her father in Akshay's role.

I liked it too..as for the tamil version, I guess the message that the movie intends to give will reach the audiences better if Rajini plays Akshay's role...(purely my opinion)Quote:
