I tried the fried rice recipe for kids lunch box today...it came out good...I made it an egg fried rice as she loves eggs...;) oats cookies look goods...I don't fuss over taking oats if added to cakes or cookies... so I might try this recipe...:) innum fanta cake seiya mudiyalai ennala... hopefully, this weekend...
K, can u pls post a recipe for a fool-proof recipe for brownie...egg version is fine too...will a fudge like bownie or cake like brownie be best to make a sizzling brownie?

Friends tomato with sesame seeds, recipe from a relative from India.
Looks a bit oily, I have reduced the oil in the recipe.

TOMATO SESAME CHUTNEY
Ingredients:
1 tsp oil
1 green chillie chopped
3 dry red chillie broken to pieces
2 shallots sliced
1 cup red tomato chopped
¼ tsp tumeric powder
2 tbs chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp thick tamarind paste
Salt to taste
2 tbs roasted and ground sesame seeds
1 tbs oil
¼ tsp mustard seeds
¼ tsp cumin seeds
¼ tsp urad dal
1 sprig of curry leaves
A pinch of asafoetida powder
Method:
Heat 1 tsp oil, add in all the ingredients one by one in (A).
Cook till the tomatoes turn mushy. Cool
Now add the roasted sesame seeds powder to the mushy tomatoes.
Now grind the mixture to a smooth paste.
Heat 1 tbs of the oil in a pan.
Add in the seasonings, one by one.
Now add in the ground tomato mixture.
Cook for a minute, remove.
The chutney should be thick, serve it with iddli or roti.

Friends this masala idli is very tasty with 3 flavours.
I did not take the picture immediately after cooking.
So the idli has soaked up all the gravy:(

SUPER MASALA IDLI
Ingredients:
1 tbs gingelly oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 dry red chillies cut into pieces
1 sprig curry leaves
1 big onion sliced
2 green chillies sliced
2 tsp chillie powder
3 tsp coriander powder
¼ tsp tumeric powder
½ lime size tamarind, take ½ cup juice
1 small piece of vellam
Salt to taste
20 mini idlis or 2 cups of cubed big idlis
1 tbs of chopped coriander leaves
Method:
Heat oil in a non -stick pan, add in the mustard seeds.
Add also the red chillies, curry leaves, sliced onions and green chillies.
Stir fry nicely, add in chillie, coriander and tumeric powders.
Give a good stir, add in the tamarind juice, vellam and salt to taste.
Stir and cook till oil seperates, add in the mini idlis, give a good stir.
The gravy should cover all the idlis.
Remove and garnish with the coriander leaves.
The dish has a nice sweet, sour and hot taste.
