I agree with Plum. Heres' an actress who could rev-up chemistry with buffalo if she wants to. Even if I notice that she's uncomfortable doing this particular song. But this song is more of Amitji trying to be sensual. He's truly limited in this respect. Fiat car mela yEri edho try pannuvaaru. To be honest, not many actors could do that. One among those few is Shashi kapoor (who I think is wasted as sidekick in many of the films), who interrupts them at end of of the song.

Hate to say this, Smita-ji has actually, in her career, done things close to what git-ji called as "revving it up with a buffalo".

I mean, kulbhUshan karbandA(What a name!), Raj Rubber, Om Puri, even Shah-ji - her list of co-stars who she has had to rev-it up with is not exactly a bunch of lookers or dashing fellows. It is purely her charisma and sensuality that shines through in these sequences.
I think there is one with Om Shiv Puri that takes the cake.

Rajesh Khanna in Nazrana. All the shots with his back to the camera helps rev-up the chemistry. Enuf said.

His dance with Smita (who dumbs herself down at many places) :rotfl:

There are scenes with Sri Devi where they actually use bad makeup to make her look dark. Smita again comes off as better actress.
