This is a classic example of subtle acting. Sivaji and Savithri simply steal your hearts in the scene. This should be completely watched to understand the situation and hence the song is preceded and followed by the related narration. Anand (Sivaji) happens to marry Sarala (Savithri), physically handicapped. This is the first night scene. See how to the understanding between husband and wife is explored in this situation. She plays the visuals of her dance performance and both husband and wife look each other on seeing the visual. There is so much of mind expressed in their looks. At one stage Sarala sings along the song which moves Anand.
An outstanding performance in a intricate relationship sequence stands testimony to the genius in Sivaji and Savithri.

உலகத்திலிருக்கும் அத்தனை விதமான நடிப்புப் பள்ளிகளிலும் பாடமாக வைக்கப் பட வேண்டிய காட்சி. இந்தப் பாடலைத் தனியாகப் பார்ப்பதை விட அதன் முன்னும் பின்னும் தொடர்புடைய காட்சிகளோடு பார்த்தால் தான் இதன் மகத்துவம் விளங்கும் என்பதற்காக காட்சிகளுடன் தரவேற்றப் பட்டுள்ளது. குறிப்பாக திரையில் தன்னுடைய நாட்டியத்தைப் பார்த்தவாறே சாவித்திரி கலங்குவதும் சாவித்திரியை திரையிலும் அருகிலுமாக மாற்றி மாற்றிப் பார்த்து தன் மன ஓட்டத்தை முகத்தில் பிரதிபலிப்பதும், உலகத்தில் இவர்களை மிஞ்சிய நடிக நடிகையர் இருப்பார்களா என்ற கேள்வியைக் கட்டாயம் ஒவ்வொருவர் நெஞ்சிலும் எழுப்பும்.
