What is your view about posting? there was another film , where Sridevi is his daughter , had wonderful song by SPB ' Poo polE un punagiyil' ? This was not 'great' but not as bad as 'Dr Siva'

Completely disagree, Rajni's movie in the 90's may fall in this category, with exemptions of ' Thalapthy/mannan/baasha', not between 1975 -1985

I have to agree with Param, while I think Sivaji is the best actor of all time in the world, I'm definitely not a fan of his movies in the late 70s! Had Sivaji been born in the US, the Oscar panel would have drained the number of awards by giving them to him! :)

But his late 70s movies have nothing to do with my liking for him in other decades though! His Gowravam is my all-time fav movie, while I have a ton of other movies I love too. And in terms of looks, he was at his best in the later 60s - early 70s... 8-)

It was Kavarimaan - *ing along side Sivaji - Pramila of "Arangetram". The movie had a nice storyline spoiled by amateurish direction and horrible non acting from support casting and as usual Sivaji was left to salvage the remnants of a good story by his laboured acting.
