Salutations to the great actor.
'Deiva Magan' is very fentastic movie and evergreen. When three Shivaji comes in the scene, there is a punch dialogue, before the third Shivaji (Vijay) enter in the room.
Shankar (dad): Un peyar ennappa..?
Kannan (first son): Kannan - neenga solli naan therinjikka vendiya peyarai, ippo naan solli neenga purinjikka vendiyirukku.
(another dialogue)
Kannan: "Appa... naan ippadi avalatchanamaa irukkirathukku kaaranamey neengathaanu therinjum yempa ennai verutheenga?. Unga appavum ungalai appadithaan ninaichaaraa?...illai... sathiyamaa illai. Yenna, unga appa yezhai. adhanaal avarukku idhayam irundhathu, adula irakkam irundhathu. Aanaa enga appa panakaarar. Avar kitta irumbu petti mattumthaan irukku."
still nothing beats Dr.Shivaji sir's karnan,
'Deiva Magan' is one awesome movie, that every budding actor must watch. Uththama Puthiran is another classic, evergreen; First time, I believe, Villain Sivaji was more popular than the hero....
That was awesome!! Thank you very much for reminding us....Quote:

"Karnan" one of the best evergreen movie, not only in my heart, but most of the cine watchers. Such a well taken movie with huge star value. Shivaji, Devika, Muthuraman, Asokan, Savithri, NTR, Rajamma, Sandhiya, Rukmani, O.A.K.Thevar, V.S.ragavan, Jawar Seethraman, Shanmuga Sundaram.... oh the list goes like monkey's tail.
Thre are totally 13 songs, out of them only one duet for TMS and P.Suseela, starring Shivaji and Devika (a perfect 'jodi' in that period). That is 'Iravaum Nilavum Valarattume' which is the one always sung by most of the present orchestras, and participates one of the best songs for several V.I.Ps, who never forget to mention this in their interviews in TV channels.
This song was shooted in a famous temple in Karnataka state (I am not sure whether it is in Belur or Helebid, therindhavargaL sollalAm). Later on there were somany songs were shooted in that temple, for example 'sollAmalE yAr pArththathu' in poovE unakkAga)

Starting with heavy violin prelude, followed by flute and continued by saarangi, then with the sweet humming of Isaiyarasi PS and then start the pallavi by PS. My grandma as my mom says used to love this song for its music, meawning and shivaji's, n.t.r's performance.
Dutifully my mom followed it and passed it on to me too.

Hi Shakthi,
That song , Shivaji Sir's awsome performance, and last but least the PHILOSOPHY behind this , made me weep a lot, still when ever i hear the song, I get tears in my eyes
me too @ raghu.
Not to mention Dr.S.Goviderajan's excellent singing of that song, I also love that Dr.PBS song in that, and of course the greatest song
'Aayiram karanghal koope', what an excellent song, it sent shivers down my spine, i get all spiritual feelings when i watch these scenes
