Kaththi plagiarism charges withdrawn!
Minjur Gopi who has filed a case against AR Murugadoss for Kaththi’s story plagiarism has withdrawn the case. He informed the court about the withdrawal.
The court in turn dismissed the case and fined Gopi Rs. 1000 for unnecessarily disturbing the judicial functions of the court. AR Murugadoss feels vindicated with this move.
Murugadoss says he was always confident that he would come triumph in this case and he never wanted to give in and set a bad precedent. However Gopi is tightlipped about the case withdrawal and he seems to be contemplating a different move.
Meanwhile Murugadoss is moving on to his next move in Hindi with Sonakshi Sinha. All the controversies surrounding Kaththi has made the film a super hit.

சேலம் சூரமங்கலம் என்ற பகுதியில் உள்ள புனித சூசையப்பர் பெண்கள் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் கடந்த 31-ம் தேதி சுந்தர் சி இயக்கிய அரண்மனை திரைப்படமும், கடந்த 7-ம் தேதி விஜய் நடித்த கத்தி திரைப்படமும் பள்ளி வளாகத்திலேயே திரையிடப்பட்டதாக செய்திகள் வெளிவந்துள்ளது. இதற்காக மாணவிகளிடம் ரூ.15 முதல் ரூ.25 வரை பள்ளி நிர்வாகம் கட்டாய வசூல் செய்ததாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது.
இதுகுறித்த புகார் ஒன்றை தமிழ்நாடு மக்கள் உரிமை இயக்க மாநிலத் தலைவர் பூமொழி அவர்கள் தனது இயக்கத்தின் நிர்வாகிகளுடன் சென்று சேலம் முதன்மைக் கல்வி அலுவலர் செல்வகுமாரிடம் புகார் அளித்துள்ளார். சட்டவிரோதமாக டிவிடி மூலம் புதிய திரைப்படங்களை திரையிடுவதோடு மாணவிகளிடம் கட்டாய வசூல் செய்யும் பள்ளி நிர்வாகம் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க கல்வி அலுவலரிடம் வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது

Friday Film Fest - A gush of new releases

This Friday, there is a gush of new Tamil releases with a few of them already getting positive reviews in the press preview shows. The films coming out today are Thirudan Police, Appuchi Graamam, Gnana Kirukan, Murugatruppadai, Vilasam and Puli Paarvai.
Among the lot, Thirudan Police is getting a decent release in important theaters across all the main circuits in the state. Starring Dinesh and Iyshwarya in the lead roles, along with Rajendran and John Vijay in hilarious makeovers, Thirudan Police also has Vijay Sethupathi making a guest appearance for a song.
Appuchi Graamam is an attempt at the sci-fi genre and a section of film goers are keenly looking forward to it.
Diwali winner Kaththi is expected to hold strong this weekend too, while Nolan's Interstellar continues to be a sensation with the multiplex crowd.

Silver jubilee weeks of Tamil cinema are all gone now. There was a time when movies ran for 100 days or even more than that. In those days, not so long ago though, people used to make a movie in 50 days and its theatrical run at times went beyond 175 days. It is probably the vice versa now with the makers taking close to 175 days to complete a movie and only a blockbuster movie is able to achieve the coveted 50 day mark in theatres.
At such a competitive scenario, Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Kaththi has managed to cross its 25 days run today (15th November) in notable number of screens. As we all know the movie is already a blockbuster and it is fascinating to know that it attracts the audience even after a solid 4 week run at the theatres.
Kudos to Vijay, ARM and team.

'Kaththi' hits quarter century
Given the release in more than 1200 screens across the country, Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ is still going strong and breaking all possible records. The movie had made its way to 100 crore club on the 12th day, and the most important fact is, ‘Kaththi’ was released in Tamil alone and not dubbed in any other language. The makers are elated with the result of the movie and the Telugu version is getting released next Friday. Vijay fans are expecting A.R. Murugadoss to make one more movie with Vijay in the near future and get it released for 2016 Diwali.
