- I heard that Suhasini backed out in the last minute when she came to understand that the NJ organizers had nothing to do with the CA concert and that she was only interested to come to CA show. is that true?
- This might be a stupid question, but am just asking - Who actually calls the shots to make the song list selection? Maestro IR or is it a collation of a list from several sources?
- I enjoyed the show overall, but if we had something musical as well for the first one hour of wait in addition to the , it would have been a great warming up session. For example, a local orchestra doing some initial rounds and then getting the giants perform. Just a day before the shows, I was approached by one of the members in the organizers for me to do a one-man-show - Playing Keys lead and backings for non-IR songs per the initial discussions. But, the same fissiled out due to some security clearance issues by the Prudential Center. My bad luck. :-( Else, I was all geared to engage the audience to some peppy numbers. In fact my proposed song list for this so called one man show was also approved. :-)

My wife did talk to Sadhana Sargam. It looks like she was booked for Toronto and California concerts (since NJ concert was planned at a later stage). She was heading back home after the Toronto concert. Not sure about Hari..Quote:

You don't need to apologize. it's just people assuming things and speaking on behalf of artists and creating bad impression. Morning rehearsals happened in the same sequence that you saw in the evening. That's one of the reason senior artists and legends like Raja sir don't speak much. We interpret them differently. People don't listen. They hear what they want to hear. It clearly looks like the NJ Concert gave a better listening experience, be it audio quality or audience response, than the Toronto concert. Any popular tamizh tholaikaatchis telecasting these shows?
Sundar, do you really want to map raagas to songs like "sangeedh thirunaaLo or "ennOdu vaa vaa" types? They are very light[ no complaints about that] and do not exhibit any proper raagaa flavour.
Small correction, "sorgame endraalum" - should be Hamsanaadham . "SAINDHU SAINDHU" - A VERY LIGHT mOHANAM BASED SCALE

A +ve review, but user comments are -ve as a result of expecting more Telugu songs. Such concerts should be projected mainly as IR's Tamil songs concert with some Telugu songs. Surely, a predominantly IR's Telugu songs concert will be well received as well.
