Fathers on the other hand have the inherent love for their children but in a measured way and mix of affection as well as strictness so that the children should be groomed in the right track bringing laurels to their parents. The phase of education till employment is taken care by the father without exhibiting his turmoil in earning money through hard work for the ultimate benefit of his children. Quite often the children do not realize the Lion's share of behind curtain difficulties and perils of life a father gets succumbed to in bringing up his wards to the satisfaction of their goals or his dreams coming true!!
The hard working sacrificing father characterisations have been brought to our eyes on big screen by the two doyens of Tamil cinema Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan (Motor Sundaram Pillai and Vaazhkkai to be more specific) and kaadhal Mannar Gemini Ganesan (Ramu and Vellivizha to be more specific) as down to the earth performances rather than the larger than life depictions as part of histrionics!! We love and respect these two model fathers on screen who taught us the significance of love and respect to our fathers and forefathers too!! We salute the doyens.....with these nostalgia!!
