தன்னிகரற்ற சாதனை, சாந்தியில் புதிய பறவை வெற்றி முழக்கம்.
இன்று மாலை 25.07.2010 சென்னை சாந்தியில் அரங்கு நிறைவு HOUSE FULL .

காணக் கண்கோடி வேண்டும் என்ற மொழிக்கு இன்றைய சாந்தி திரையரங்கின் நிகழ்வுகளே சரியான சான்று.

பெங்களூரு ரசிகர்கள் அசத்தி விட்டார்கள். மாலை என்றால் அப்படி யொரு மாலை. காட்சிப் படங்கள் பதிவேற்றப்படும் போது காணுங்கள்.

நாடி நரம்பெல்லாம் புகுந்து ருத்ர தாண்டவமே ஆடிவிட்டார் நடிகர் திலகம். உணர்ச்சி மயமாகாத ரசிகர்கள் இல்லை எனலாம். பகல் காட்சியில் கிட்டத் தட்ட 500 இருக்கைகளும் மாலைக் காட்சியில் அனைத்து இருக்கைகளும் நிறையும் அளவுக்கு ரசிகர்கள் திரண்டது மட்டுமல்ல. மேள தாளத்துடன் ஊர்வலமாய் மாலையை எடுத்துச் சென்று அண்ணாசாலையே குலுங்கும் அளவிற்கு ஆர்ப்பரிப்பு செய்து விட்டனர். காவல் துறையினர் வந்து குவியும் அளவிற்கு ரசிகர்கள் கூட்டம், பேருந்து உட்பட அனைத்து வாகனங்களில் பயணித்தோர், சாலையில் சென்றோர் அனைவரும் வியந்து சொன்ன வார்த்தை - "சிவாஜி படத்துக்கு கூட்டம் பாரேன், அதுவும் பழைய படத்துக்கு" என்பதே அனைவரின் உதடுகளும் உள்ளமும் உச்சரித்த வார்த்தைகள்.

சாந்தியில் உள்ளே வைக்கப் பட்டிருந்த கட்அவுட்டுக்கு செலுத்தப் பட்ட மாலைகளின் எண்ணிக்கை கிடடத்தட்ட 15க்கும் மேல். பிரம்மாண்டமான பெரிய மாலையை மேலே ஏற்ற தேவைப்பட்ட கரங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை மட்டுமே 100க்கும் மேல் இருக்கும். பாண்டு வாத்தியம் முழங்க பெங்களூரு, புதுவை, கடலூர் உள்ளிட்ட இடங்களிலிருந்து திரண்ட ரசிகர்களின் ஆரவாரம் இன்னும் பல ஆண்டுகளுக்கு கண்களில் நிழலாடும். உள்ளேயோ கேட்கவே வேண்டாம். அதுவும் எங்கே நிம்மதி பாடலுக்கு எழுப்பப் பட்ட உணர்ச்சி மயமான கரவொலிகளும் கோஷங்களும் படம் இன்று தான் புதியதாக வெளியானதொரு சூழ்நிலையை ஏற்படுத்தியது.

At a time when big heroes’ films are struggling at the box office, the late thespian Sivaji Ganesan’s 1964 evergreen classic, Pudhiya Paravai, is running to packed houses after its re-release at Shanthi Theatre.

Pudhiya Paravai, a musical thriller, stars Saroja Devi as Sivaji’s love interest. It was also notable for being the first Tamil film shot on a ship which was hired for the purpose.

To commemorate Sivaji’s ninth death anniversary, the movie has been released by Srinivasan, one of his ardent fans and a distributor of Tamil films. “Even 46 years after it was first released, the movie ran to a full-house on the weekend,” reveals Srinivasan.

Interestingly, the film was the first production from Sivaji’s home banner, Sivaji Films. “It was a milestone in Sivaji’s career. It had mind-blowing music by the M.S.Vishwanathan-Ramamurthy duo and all the songs were big chartbusters. In those days all Sivaji-starrers would be first released only in Shanthi Theatre. For the first time, the late star chose to release his film in Paragon Theatre (where normally MGR films used to release). The legendary actor took Paragon Theatre (now a multi-storied complex) on lease, renovated it and released the movie there,” reminisces distributor R.G.Venkatesh, who has watched Pudhiya Paravai at least a dozen times. The highlight of the film was Sivaji’s stylish looks and memorable dialogues. Which is why fans of the actor are felicitating Arurdas, the dialogue writer and Mutthappa, Sivaji’s make-up man, at a function in the city.
