This is not like india-pak.
Great Britain sends one team to Olympics. Just that historically they have separate teams in football, cricket, rugby etc.
Scotland stopped fighting for independence centuries ago I guess.

Many of Britain's finest poets and authors are Welsh(GB Shaw) or Scottish. Or even Irish.

There is no denying they are closely knit as a group of nations/sub-nations. Much more so than India-Nepal-Bhutan.

But they have been historically separate teams. And either they should put up one British team(which will still not have Irish players) or not steal the Irish and Scottish players.

I don't resent Saffer-born but grew up in English system like Strauss, Prior etc.
But Trott, KP et al are a stretch
Morgan and Joyce even more so. It is a shame that not only can they move from one team to another permanently but also keep alternating per whim and fancy.
Joyce, for instance, played for Ireland, then England, and then went back to Ireland.
That's way too much flexibility. Certainly, Britain will whine if the boot were on the other foot.

kudos to SL curators for preparing a true subcontinental track which supports the home team. When was the last time India played on similar track against a visiting team?
Have the ICC ever sent a pitch inspection team to OZ/Eng/SA for preparing a pitch with more bounce? Time to go back to Azhar days when India played 3 spinners :-)
The moment these team encounter a dust-bowl these teams cry foul and ICC will unleash Atkinson. I hope cricket doesn't go field Hockey way when they switched to artificial turf which completely disadvantaged the teams from Asia.
