`kehna hai' is raag kedar of hindustani( similar raag in carnatic music is Valachi).
Chookar is in the C-major scale of western music. Very close to Bhimplas of hindustani and Sankarabharanam of carnatic.
By the way, what do you do with this raaga information?
hello Rajeev,I am a music student and i am very curious to know about different ragas
Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!I want to know the postal adress of Pandit Hari Parshad Churasiya, the famous flute master.Or any of his contacts.
Hello everyone.........Does any body knows the raga of the song""meray naina sawan bahdohn "" & the raga of the song ""teray meray beech main of film ek dujay k liye"" & ""tumhay daikhtee hoon to lagta hay aisay""

Tere mere beech mein is also shivranjani. The other song I have not heard.
Mere naina is actually misra shivaranjani as it uses g3 along with g2.
I am asking about 2 songs one of them is already in my previous question. What are the ragas of these songs-----------
1."tumhay daikhtee hoon to lagta hay aisay
kay jaisay yougoon say tumhay janti hoon"
sung by Lata G.
2."rasme ulfat ko nibahain to nibahain kaisay
zindagi bhooj bani hay to uthain kaisay"
sung by Lata G.
Hi everybody. My name is Rajen Mohunlal and I'm from South Africa.I enjoy bhajans and kirtans tremendously, and also film songs to a small degree. I have two questions :- 1). What is the difference between a bhajan and a kirtan, and 2). If a person can sing a song, then why is it so neccessary to know what raag the song is ung in - how does this help?.This may sound a strange question to those who have studied music, but I have not studied and am therefore puzzled.
