karugamani is the most 'organic' song I have heard in the last year or two in tamil film music. One of the reasons I disagree with vem that IR should retire or stop doing film songs.

To each his / her own and I respect your opinion as far a Kaasi songs go but one of the main reasons I don't listen to them much is Hariharan. It sound too polished and urban for that character on screen. These are songs which I definitely wish Raja has sung. I am not saying this for 'veembu' or to deliberately counter you but I sincerely feel Hariharan was a bad choice for Kaasi songs.

Well said a_e. I think 'Kaasi' songs would have reached a wider audience had it been sung by MV at his prime. Out of place is the right phrase.
