Even if they are not OEM and buying from outright, this move has to be appreciated. India is changing...
Started with a new client few days back and the Siemens IP phone is quite interesting (somewhat different from the Cisco one I've used earlier).
The funny thing is "optical" hook switch :-)
During a conversation, I tried to wipe the "perceived dust" on the phone and disconnected the call :-( It's then that I realized there's no mechanical hookswitch but an invisible light & a photosensor.
Don't know about WePad till now. But what a competitive name to iPad :lol:Quote:

Though its android based, the Atom cpu will drain the battery soon. Moreover, the price is also costly, and Android Market wont come officially to any of those Android tablets, so the lakhs of apps are inaccessible and one has to rely on thirdparty and alternative markets(like SlideMe) though its not at all bad, the US IT fellas will dislike an android product without official appstore.
In India, the situation is different....
As of now, there is no release date for WePad, so it looks vaporous, like many other android tablet announcements.
On other hand, Samsung has released it tablet just recently and THoshiba showcased its tablet which was in long announcement. Both are getting quite disappointing reviews...
Advice / Input required on buying USB Data Card for my laptop for 2-3 months in which I will be shuttling between Chennai and Bangalore - MTS / Reliance / Tata Photon / Airtel. Which wud be better?
