Malaysian 'MGR' shows support for BN
KUALA SELANGOR: Popular Indian politician cum actor, Marudhur Gopalan Ramachandran or better known as MGR is in town to meet the Indian voters here and tell them about Barisan Nasional's contribution for the community.
The legendary Chief Minister of India may have died 25 years ago, but a local impersonator, MG Segar, 63, have brought him back to live to ensure BN's victory in the upcoming general election.
"I have been a BN supporter since my father's days. BN had done a lot for the nation, this is just a small contribution from me to tell the people how much BN had helped the community," he said.
Segar started his tour right after nomination and had so far went to few constituencies in Perak, Malacca and Selangor.
"I have been campaigning for BN since 1999, and the support for BN this time around is overwhelming," he said.
He added that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is a good leader who had helped the Indian community in many ways.
"His many initiatives to help the community have made huge difference in people's life. He is concerned about his people's welfare and he is very approachable. People love him for his effort and care," he said.
Segar will be visiting Indian voters in Bukit Melawati, Ijok and Jeram in his two days tour to Kuala Selangor.
Joining him was Bukit Melawati's very own MGR, S. Rasoo, 70, who said that MGR had left a huge impact in many Indian's life, thus, impersonating him to spread news about BN would leave a lasting impression.
