The article says that the Australian opera singer Greta Bradman sang 'Una Voce Poco Fa' an Italian opera by Rossini.

In an earlier interview he was lamenting about India not picking up Western Classical music. That is true considering the fact that the British ruled India for nearly 200 years ( East India company and British Monarchy). May be, India was too proud about its musical heritage. Or it may be due to the influence of Mughals in Hindustani music. Of course, Hindustani classical was promoted by the Mughals, in my opinion. Hindustani music has a lot of Khans and Begums ! :)
