Summer schedule!
By Moviebuzz | Saturday, 06 May , 2006, 17:06
In a week’s time, a new government will be sworn in Tamilnadu. The film industry can heave a sigh of relief as the focus will shift back to films from elections and politics.
Finally the summer release can start rolling- Last year when all superstars like Rajnikanth (Chandramukhi), Kamal (Mumbai Xpress), Vijay (Sachin), Vikram (Anniyan), Surya (Mayyaavi) had releases.
This year only Kamal Hassan and Ajit have their long pending releases Vetayadu Vilayadu and Godfather. Suriya has Jillendru Oru Kathal) as the big summer release. Here is the complete list of summer releases, most of them in the last stages of shooting or post-production work.
The producers concerned have given some indication about the release date but they are not confirming. Unlike Hollywood and to certain extent Bollywood, Tamil films never stick to the scheduled date.
As of now these are the tentative dates of releases-
May 19- Puthupettai, Jerry, Perarasu
May 26- Solli Adippen, Parijatham
May 26/June 2- Vetayadu Vilayadu
June 2- Thalainagaram, Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi
June 9- Godfather
June 16- Something Something Unakkum Enakkum
June 23- Thalaimagan
June 30- Jillendru Oru Kathal
July 7- Aran,
July 14- Vallavan
is the audio coming out on Monday [May 15] ??? :D:D:D:D
Unfortunately, I don't know... :(
Surya to shine in summer
IndiaGlitz [Thursday, May 11, 2006]
Get set to welcome Surya this summer.
Surya has completed his Jillendru Oru Kathal, which is getting final touches to ensure an early release this summer.
Cast opposite Jothika, the movie has story, screenplay and direction by debutant Krishna, a one-time associate of director Gowtham.
Interestingly Bhoomika plays the second fiddle in the movie.
Another major highlight of the movie is that A R Rehman has come up with five scintillating tunes.
Produced by Gnanavel of Studio Green, the other highlights of the film are the dialogues of Sujatha, editing of V T Vijayan, lyrics penned by Vairamuthu and choreography of Brindha.
