esp when he ACTS / LIVES as a KING in movies.
I have never seen any ACTOR till now who had portrayed the DEMI-GOD status that kings inculcated in the minds of the people.
I have seen many portraying KINGS as Ordinary HUman Beings.
I have seen many portraying KINGS as JOKERS
I have seen many portraying KINGS as Yet-Another-Character
But
IF I have to find someone who portrayed A KING AS A KING, then it has to be MAKKAL THILAGAM.
A king was perceived as a NEAR DEMI-GOD in olden days.
Makkal Thilagam portrayed it with absolute perfection.

& my personal favorite
Narasimha Pallavar character in Kaanchi Thalaivan

The way he walks towards the Mallar from the enemy side with GETHU, POWER, MAJESTY and wins him hands down is a clean example
The way he reacts to the gimmicks of Vaadhaabi will be top class :thumbsup:

MGR - THE ACTOR WINS HANDS DOWN IN POWERFUL ROLES esp KING roles. He portrayed a KING AS A KING ! 8-)

anyway I rein my emotions and just say opinion differs :)

Well, Shivaji is more than a complete actor - he is like a guide book on acting...... :D ......but got to blame the directors and the people's taste during his time :banghead: .........avara overact panna vechhu, azha vekkaradhula aanandham konda jananga :evil: ...........my fav shivaji performances are obviously with next gen directors
