But, our directors get away during censor process with dummy sounds since nobody has officially lodged a complaint with CBFC. History is very important. Bal Thackeray was the one who threatened Mani's team for the movie "Nayagan" and in fact he seen this movie as a censor board and provided a go for release after several talks. We don't know how many scenes he asked Mani to remove.
Hope you were referring to Bombay and not Nayagan. Anyway - That's why we should empower our directors so that they are against every rabid religious group who go about threatening them. Genuine criticisms are very much welcome. You can come across many in the concerned thread. After so many years of movie watching, i more or less know what audience will like and dislike. Reviews from many hubbers shared the same opinions of mine.
On reading the Oneindia article, I could easily figure out who would've written it and the purpose of writing it - venting out the frustration. Adhu sari, hubkum oneindiavukkum difference illaiya,enna? Let the BO record breaks be the right reply. :)
