Well, that RK encouraged Ajith to meet CM may be media speculation but both have gone and met him in office one after the other (after the "poonaikku maNi kattal") is not insignificant :-)

First of all, is this for real? I mean, its OK for a fanboy painting but i'm not sure if its from a man of stature like Rajini to have himself and his peers depicted like this. Avar personal-a sollalaam, but how is it for the other actors? I think even Kamal would not feel comfortable. Is it just me or is there an issue with dignity here?

Exactly. I first thought Vikatan is fooling me. But uNmai maadhiri dhaan theriyudhu. After realizing that, my first reaction was - what would the other actors think?!

And, somehow i was not happy seeing Late Vishnuvardhan's picture there. Am not sure how to put it, but may be he could have been excluded. (Or may be the picture was drawn before this death?)

Also, one can speak for oneself but to include the other actors also.... Rajini's speech was touching and beautiful, whichever way we see it but how do you feel when you see the painting? Even as a Thalaivar bakthan i don't feel comfortable, if i were a Rajini fan, i would definitely not feel comfortable. Do you get what i mean?

Exactly the same thoughts when I saw this news y'day... also the picture was like some photoshop work..... Amitabh thalaiya vetti ottuna maathiri irukku...
But the general reactions was like "it was gr8" and etc.. so just kept quiet wondering may be it is true....

I dont think it will create any controversies. All those actors who have been depicted in that painting are legends in their own way and I am sure they have the maturity to take it in the right spirit. Chiru looks like some adiyAL in the third line in fight scenes, Amitap Pachan has been insulted in a way I couldnt have imagined (and trust me, that is an achievement!).

I wonder if Rajni showed this to Vishnuvardhan. Hopefully, he didnt. Poor thing, may his soul rest in peace.

unwarranted, in my opinion. rajni shouldn't have brought the other actors' names up in the speech, in the first place. the cheer of the moment and the evidently self-deprecating charm worked for him then but intha painting ellaam romba over. at least he should have ensured that the gesture remains private. feel especially odd about lal and bachchan. btw, why no mammootty?

enakku nalla puriyudhu.......i felt the same last year when ARR told that there are people beyond oscars in TN right when we were celebrating oscar glory.........vedham pudhidhu sumal boy sathyaraj kannathula arai-yura madhiri engalukkellam oru feeling :) ......ARR being the less emotional type - thankfully didnt drag it like rajini.........(this incident is pretty much a counterpoint to my signature :wink: )

In the Asianet awards function, it was Mammotty who gushed about Kamal saying that he came to films mimicing Kamal initially. Mohanlal, though, was muted in that function. Depends on the mood pOla!
