Just now watched Tenaliraman movie.The movie was pretty good. Iam sure many veteran hubbers would have watched it but for those who had watched it the plot is given below
The Deccan Sultans of Berar, Ahmednagar, Bidar, Bijapur and Golconda who the splinters from the erstwhile Bahmani Sultnate now unite with the common purpose to defeat of Krishnadeva Raya and the conquest of the prosperous Vijayanagaram. They send their stooge Kanakaraj to assassinate Krishnadeva Raya, but Kanakaraj fails in his mission and is put to death. Then they planned courtesan Krishnasini. Krishnasini enters Vijayanagaram, and with her acclaimed dancing skills, manages to elicit the notice of the King, a great connoisseur of arts and beauty. She then plays her cards cleverly and besotted by her intelligent repartees and smoldering sensuousness, the susceptible King is soon a puppet in her hands. Orders are given that anyone who enters their private chamber would be beheaded and the King spends with Krishnasini's for months. Reports reach the ministers that the Sultans are planning to take advantage of the King's inaccessibility and launch a combined attack on Vijayanagaram. Worried at the state of affairs, Tenali Raman braves the prohibitory order and enters Krishnasini's abode dressed as a woman, but all his appeals to the King seem to fall on deaf ears. Meanwhile Queen Thirumalamba falls seriously sick and the King finally comes out of his daze. Once the King is at his wife's bedside, Tenali Ramakrishna manages to gain entry into Krishnasini's house again, this time under the guise of an omniscient saint who assures her that he would bring the King back to her. He catches her red-handed with her gang of spies, and signals to the hidden soldiers to surround her. Realized that the game is up, Krishnasini prefers a dignified death. Shocked to see her stab herself, Timmarusu remonstrates with her that she has acted in haste, for the King would have certainly forgiven her. Tenali Ramakrishnan then meets Babar ,convinces him, clarifies him averts the danger to Vijayanagar kingdom
NT dons different avatars in the movie its like dasavatharam performed by single NT. He changes his form like a came lion in this movie effortlessly. One of the underrated movie never seen in TV & never discussed in thread must watch movie. NT in the movie looks like a child but brainy,wiity ,nothing to rave about Jamuna.

நேற்று சிறிது நேரம் சுமதி என் சுந்தரி பார்க்கும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது. நடிகர் திலகத்தின் திறமைக்கு அவர் ப்பூ என்று ஊதி தள்ளிய வேடம்தான் என்றாலும் அதையும் ஒரு ஈடுபாட்டோடு செய்திருக்கும் விதம் நம்மை ஆச்சரியப்படுத்தும். குறிப்பாக ஒன்றிரண்டு காட்சிகள்.
அடியம்மா ராசாத்தி பாடல் காட்சி முடிந்ததும் நடிகர் திலகமும் ஜெஜெ-வும் நடந்து வரும் காட்சி. தான் நடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த படத்தின் டைரக்டர் அந்த தோட்ட தொழிலாளர் விழாவிற்கு வந்து விட தன்னை அடையாளம் தெரிந்துக் கொண்டு விடுவாரோ என்று பயந்து அவர் கண்ணில் படாமல் மறைந்து விழா முடிந்து வீட்டிற்கு போகும்போது கூட அதே நினைவாக வரும் ஜெஜெ, அதை கவனிக்காமல் பேசிக் கொண்டே வரும் நடிகர் திலகம். "என்னை போய் தீடிர்னு நடுவிலே விட்டு ஆட சொல்லிட்டாங்க. எனக்கு என்ன தெரியும்? ஆனா நீ பரவாயில்லை கையை காலை அப்படி இப்படி அசைச்சு ஏதோ டான்ஸ் தெரிஞ்ச மாதிரி மானேஜ் பண்ணிட்டே " என்று வெகு இயல்பாக பேசிக் கொண்டு வருவார். ஜெஜெ-வின் கவனம் தன் பேச்சில் இல்லை என்பதை கவனிக்காமல் " பெரியவரோட தம்பி வேற நம்மை போட்டோ எடுக்கிறேன்-னு எடுத்துட்டார். எனக்கு ஒரு மாதிரியா இருந்துச்சு. நான் மூஞ்சியை அந்த பக்கம் திருப்பிக்கிட்டேன்" என்று சொல்லும் போதுதான் தற்செயலாக ஜெஜெ௦வின் முகத்தை பார்க்க " ஏய் உனக்கு என்ன ஆச்சு? " என்று ஜெஜெ பக்கம் திரும்புவார். இந்த காட்சியை கவனித்தோம் என்றால் தனிமையில் நடந்து கொண்டே அதே நேரம் ஒரு சம்பாஷணையில் ஈடுப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்க கூடிய ஒரு ஜோடி எப்படி இயல்பாக நடந்து கொள்வார்களோ அதை வெகு இலகுவாக கையாண்டிருப்பார். அடுத்த வினாடியில் மரத்தில் சாய்ந்து பலூன் வைத்து முகம் மறைத்திருக்கும் ஜெஜெ, அந்த பலூனை ஒரு மரக்குச்சியின் நுனியால் வெடிக்க வைக்கும் நடிகர் திலகம் உடனே பயந்து அவரை அனைத்துக் கொள்ளும் ஜெஜெ, அந்த நேரத்தில் சட்டென்று ஏற்பாடு நெருக்கத்தில் உணர்ச்சி வசப்படும் நடிகர் திலகம், என்ன அழகாய் அதை வெளிப்படுத்துவார். அந்த நேரம் பின்னணியில் ஒலிக்கும் ஹம்மிங், ஒரு சின்ன காட்சி கூட ஒரு தேர்ந்த கலைஞனின் கைப்படும் போது எப்படி பரிமளிக்கும் என்பதற்கு இது ஒரு உதாரணம்.
அது போன்று கிளைமாக்ஸ் பாடல் காட்சி, கல்யாண சந்தையிலே ஒரு பெண் பார்க்கும் நேரமிது பாடல் காட்சி நடந்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது வீட்டிற்குள் வரும் நடிகர் திலகம், கையிலிருக்கும் ஆல்பத்தையும் பாடி ஆடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஜெஜெ-வையும் ஒப்பிட்டு பார்க்கும் நடிகர் திலகம், பாடல் முடிந்தவுடன் ஜெஜெ-வை பளாரென்று அறை விடும் நடிகர் திலகம், ஜெஜெ-விடம் அவர் நடிகை சுமதிதான் என்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்திக் கொள்ளும் நடிகர் திலகம், பேசாமல் நடந்து மேசையின் மேல் வைத்திருக்கும் பூ ஜாடியில் வைத்திருக்கும் ஒரு மலரை முகர்ந்து பார்க்கும் நடிகர் திலகம், அது காகித பூ மணக்காது என்பது அறிவிற்கு தெரியும், ஆனாலும் முகர்ந்து பார்க்க சொல்லும் மனம், அதில் மணம் இல்லாமல் ஏமாற்றமடையும் மனம், தன் ஏமாந்து விட்டோமே, காகித பூவை நிஜ பூ என்று நினைத்து விட்டோமே என்பதனால் வரும் கோவம், உடனே அந்த கோவத்தில் அந்த பூ ஜாடியை போட்டு உடைக்கும் ஆத்திரம், எவ்வளவு சிம்பாலிக்காக தான் காதலித்த பெண்ணும் காகித பூவும் ஒன்றுதான் என்பதை ஒரு வார்த்தை வசனம் கூட இல்லாமல் எப்படி விஷுவலாக வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார்? இத்தனைக்கும் அது டைரக்டரோ திரைக்கதாசிரியரோ சொல்லி தந்தது அல்ல, நடிகர் திலகம் தானே செய்தது என்பதில்தான் அந்த காட்சியின் சிறப்பே அடங்கியிருக்கிறது.
இதை தவிர நாம் பல முறை அலசிய பொட்டு வைத்த முகமோ மற்றும் ஒருதரம் ஒரே தரம் பாடல் காட்சிகள், சூப்பர்.

ராகுல், தெனாலி ராமன் படத்தை பற்றிய ஒரு மினி அலசல் அந்தப் படத்தை இதுவரை பார்க்காதவர்களுக்கு ஒரு stimulus ஆக இருக்கும். இந்தப் படத்தின் ஒரு அழகான காட்சியை முன்பு வாசு அவர்கள் இந்த திரியில் அளித்திருந்தார். இது போன்ற அதிகம் அறியப்படாத படங்களைப் பற்றி எழுதும்போது அதில் உள்ள ரசிக்க கூடிய அம்சங்கள் பற்றி தெரிந்து கொள்ள வாய்ப்பு ஏற்படுகிறது.

elated to see our NT's avtars when he reigned as the emperor of our tamil cinema when his immortal anniversary nears. Now, he gently picks up her hand..listen to her patiently...and casually walk towards the car along with her. The way he lifts up his head, his body language everything is just world class performance in that scene.
He could well have reacted hastily or could have tried to be more emotional while consoling her...but he maintains his cool in that scene because at the back of his mind he's got that iota of doubt about her stealing the jewel which finally...when they reach the car...comes out as simple at the same time harsh words of accusation.
Brilliant piece of acting.

I had read autobiography of NT many times but now I wish to reproduce some points, photos . Hope U all like it
Here are excerpts from Ganesan’s reminiscences of his lucky break:
“I am not very sure of the day of the week, but I know I was born on October 1, 1928.” said he. That day was a Monday, and on that day his father Chinnaiya mandrayar was arrested for taking part in an anti-British campaign in Villupuram. This autobiography of Villupuram Chinnaiya Ganesa Moorthy (Ganesa Moorthy was his original name) first appeared in Tamil on Oct.1, 2002, on the first posthumous birthday of Sivaji. It consists of a question and answer format. The questions were formulated by Dr. T.S. Narayana Swamy, and Sivaji provides reminiscences of his notable life
“Anna wrote the play Sivaji kanda Hindu Rajyam. Originally, M.G. Ramachandran was chosen to play the role of Sivaji and the costumes tailored for him. For some reason MGR turned down the offer. With hardly a week left for the play, D.V. Narayanaswamy, the stage manager, was extremely worried. He told Anna that MGR had refused to act this role. Both had a brainstorming session to find alternatives…Anna thought a beard would look good on me. He put the question to me very directly. ‘Ganesa, are you willing to act as Sivaji?’ I perspired profusely at this question…Anna asked me to try it out. Moreover he had the confidence that I could do it. He handed me a 90 page dialogue manuscript and adviced me to go through it. He was going home and on his return would audition me for the role. Anna gave me the manuscript at eleven in the morning and he came back around six in the evening…I managed to memorise so much in merely seven hours. ‘You are Sivaji’, he announced, his voice choking with emotion. If I could memorise a 90 page manuscript in a relatively short time, it was only because of my passion for acting, you could even call it addiction…There were only four days left for the play to be staged and all the costumes tailored for MGR had to be downsized to suit me. They had to pad cotton in some places to correct the size difference as I was a mere boy and was slightly built at that time.”
“The film Parasakti was released in 1952 and I got married the same year…My mother decided that it was time for me to tie the knot and arranged to get me married to my cousin’s daughter Kamala…The simplicity of the wedding made it a revolutionary ceremony. I was married on May 1st 1952 at Swamimalai, a place close to my cousin’s house. Sri P.A. Perumal, annan MGR, Sri Karunanidhi, the poet Kannadasan, Smt. T.A. Maduram, Sri. S.V. Sahasranamam, along with directors Krishnan and Panju attended my wedding…Nowadays much emphasis is placed on celebrating weddings extravagantly with glitz and glamour. My wedding was devoid of that and my total expenditure was only five hundred rupees! I confess that I did not have the means to spend more.”

NT on Bale pandiya
Before his first invited trip to USA in 1962, he notes: “I had signed up for the film Bale Pandiya. I went into the studios on the second of the month and left the sets on the twelfth after completing the film. I probably hold the world record of completing a film in eleven days time. I had acted in three roles in the film and annan M.R. Radha in two.” In another page he had stated: “During the period of my life when I was extremely busy, the studios would assign rooms exclusively for me during the different shifts. I worked in three shifts (7am-1pm), (2pm-9pm), (10pm-5am). I used to work twenty hours a day, and on odd days return home for four hours of rest. Many a time I would run through the day’s schedule and move to the next studio to begin the following day’s work. I compensated for my sleep deprivation by napping whilst traveling in the car and during breaks.”
NT in politics:
Initially NT was a great supporter of DK ,then DMK since he was very close with Periyar ,Anna and kalainjar..Whwn NT was very active in DMK ,MGR was a congressman ..NT invloved in many fund raising drama shows across the state ,which he did purely free for the party..He even went to streets to collect money for the party.At that time NT was given much importance in DMK and Anna had a special affection for NT.
“I have never been a member of the DK or DMK. No doubt, I accepted the ideologies of Anna and Priyar and tried to spread their message. I accepted the principles for which the party stood, but did not become a member."
Exit from DMK
Few people waiting to ridiclue NT..They got a chance when NT went to Thiruppathi vengadachapathi temple together with B.R.Pandulu ,who forcefully brought him there..When NT return from Thiruppathi ,there was a huge hue and cry in DMK by his opposite side that sivaji went against DMK principle ,which is atheism .They pasted the posters "Thirupathi ganesa..govinda"..Sivaji was terribly upset and decided to quit DMK .Anna was very upset by the exit of DMK
NT never refused that he beleive in GOD .There were many in DMK who used to go to temples ,but in secret .Even there was a talk that MGR used to go to Thai moogampigai kovil ,though he project him as a atheist.After NT quit from DMK ,he met Kamarajar ,who he had great respect and joined Congress.
