Director Bala in an interview to a leading magazine said that "Vijay recently expressed his desire to work with me and it shows the amount of love he is having for me". Bala also said "once I decided to work with Vijay then the script should to showcase Vijay in a different platform and I should eleveate him to a new level". Well, after Ameer now Bala also expressed his desire to work with Vijay and one can expect a different Vijay soon...

Is Ilayathalapathy * Vijay most wanted actor in Tamil?
Ilayathalapathy * Vijay is undoubtedly one of the biggest selling stars in Tamil film industry. Among the present generation of actors, the Velayudham star is the most bankable actor with his movies turning out to be money-spinners in the recent years.
No other stars in the last couple of years have tasted success like Vijay. His last three movies - Jayam Raja's Velayudham, Shankar's Nanban and AR Murugadoss directorial Thuppakki - have redefined his career and have got thumbs up from all quarters. After delivering a series of flops between 2008 and 2010, Vijay tasted a moderate success in Kaavalan. Since then, the actor is unstoppable.
As a result, a big line of directors'queue is awaiting to work with Ilayathalapathy *, who is busy with Thalaivaa directed by AL Vijay and will be starting Nesan's untitled project soon after. KV Anand KV Anand, who has a good success rate, wishes to work with Vijay. There are rumours that the director has met the actor recently and discussed about the film.V However, the news is yet to arrive straight from the horse's mouth.

Bala Now, Bala too has joined therace. In an interview to a leading magazine, the director said that the actor expressed his wish to work with him. He said, "Vijay recently expressed his desire to work with me. The script for the Vijay's film should showcase Ilayathalapathy * in a different platform and take him to higher level. So, it will only happen if I come up with such a script.”
DIRECTOR AMEER SULTAN
Ameer Sultan Recently, Ameer Sultan expressed his desire to work with Vijay. However, it is not sure whether the director has a good script in hand.
DIRECTOR SUNDAR C
Sundar C Director Sundar C seems to be getting ready to direct Ilayathalapathy * Vijay. His wife and actress Kushboo has said that Sundar might direct Ilayathalapathy * Vijay. If a subject suits the image of the actor, the director will be making a film with him. The buzz says that Sundar C has met the Velayudham star and narrated one-line story.
DIRECTOR GAUTHAM MENON
Gautham Menon Last but not least is Gautham Menon. The filmmaker has been waiting to work with Vijay since 2003. First, the director approached Ilayathalapathy * for Kaakha Kaakha, which the actor rejected.Then, last year, Gautham was all set to join hands with Vijay for Yohan and even had a photoshoot. Unfortunately, the film was dropped for some reason. However, the filmmaker is hopeful of working with him in future.

After making her entry into Bollywood, Asin is not too keen on taking up regional films. However, she returned for the Vijay starrer Kavalan and the film went on to do good business at the box office. After several successful ventures in Bollywood, Asin is getting ready to make a grand entry in Kollywood. And this time too she will be paired opposite the Ilayathalapathy. Yes, according to credible sources, Asin has been signed up to play the female in the Vijay starrer, which is to be produced by AGS International.

Looks like the `Elite 100-crore club', which was the bastion of Bollywood until now, is soon going to be a thing of the past! The trend of boxoffice collectionscrossing `100 crore started as early as Aamir's Ghajini, and later,films like Dabangg, 3 Idiots, Rowdy Rathore and Ready followed. Now with Ilayathalapathy Vijay's film Thuppakki, which touched the 100-day mark last Wednesday, joining the `Elite 100 crore club', anew trend has commenced in K'town. Apparently, Vijay becomes the second Mass appeal hero after Superstar Rajinikanth who has registered his name in the 100crore club. Vijay, the hot hunk of K'town, who is shooting in Mumbai for his upcoming film, Thalaivaa, speaks to DC in an exclusive about his new achievement and future films.
ACHIEVING 100 CRORE MARK: It's heartwarming. I should thank the whole team. Perhaps it was possible because of a change in release pattern and size, the multiplex boom, youth throngingto theatres, huge marketing efforts that have contributed to this new trend.
THE SUPERSTAR THRONE AND `NUMERO UNO' FACTOR: I don't really understand much about numbers, but my distributors kept updating me about the collections at the box office which they said crossed the markin three weeks itself. Having taken this giant leap, thanks to my fans and A.R. Murugadoss, I will strive for greater heights.
RESPONSIBILITIE S RISE: Post Thuppakki's huge success, people's expectations are also massive. It gives me a sense of responsibility to achieve more in the future.
ON THALAIVAA: `My fans are my thalaivargal' (says with all modesty) . Well, as misconstrued by many, the film has nothing to do with politics. Neither do I leadany group in it! When you watch the film, you will know the title isjustified. Even as I was in the finalleg of Thuppakki, I listened to thescript of Vijay's Thalaivaa. It's a new genre for both of us. The way he takes his films are very different and interesting. Nirav Shah is the biggest plus to the movie. He creates a new mood for each and every scene. He is simply awesome! The movie is shaping up extremely well.
ON OPTING FOR A DEBUTANT DIRECTOR FOR JILLA: If you look at my career, you will know that debutant directors had a major part to play in my successes. Rarely, I was fortunate enough toget movies from big filmmakers like Fazil sir, Shankar sir and Murugadoss. It is ultimately the script that really warrants a director. Nesan who directs Jilla also falls under this category.

It’s official now — Ilayathalapathy Vijay will team up with director Murugadoss yet again, post their successful outing in Thuppakki. When CT contacted the director, he said, “Yes, we had a chat some days ago. And, we have decided to do a film yet again. This will not be Thuppakki 2 but a different subject. However, we are yet to work out the other details.” It’s said that the two will work on this film once the filmmaker completes work on the film’s Hindi remake with Akshay Kumar. The actor recently attended the audio launch of Vathikuchi, which has been produced by Murugadoss, and commented that he’d have come for it even if he hadn’t been invited!
