TIME FOR ROMANCE

Goodsense,

Ive actualy had lots of girls as my friends.
Ive had comparitively little men/boys.

Only till my 5th class I was in co-education. I had lots of friends then.

LAter It was girls school and college
Strictly speaking I had very little male friend from my 5th standard until I finished college. (may be handful.....not more. Mainly neighbours, music class guys etc, sadly MANY WERE SHY to talk ..... :roll: ... so I could not get closer)

Given a chance, IN SCHOOL I FEEL I WUOLD HAVE HAD more boys as friends than girls . Since I did not go thro the exp, I cant talk bout it.

During instt days, I found, I am more comfortable iwth men (around 20 years). I had lots of acquaintances, SOME GOOD FRIENDS, ....

As the year went by, It just got confirmed I am comfy with men. I found my husband's friends seriously my very good friends, THAN THEIR WIVES :oops:

I found most of my friend's husbands were better off vibing with me than my friends. :oops: :roll:

May be it has a lot to do with ur attitude.

For example

I hate to shop
I hate to talk on jewellry
I hate to gossip
I am not fond of talkin about cookery etc
I am not happy when they ridicule ppl.

When men talk something other than these, though I MAY NOT BE UPDATED with their knowledge, I FEEL I CAN SIT AND LISTEN. I find that interesting. :)

Also one more important thing is, I CAN TAKE IT, if a man ridicules me, or puts my ego down. I CANNOT TAKE a woman putting me down :roll:

Till today it continues that I find men comfortable. (I am comfortable with MEN WHO ARE TALKATIVE, cool, FREE , definitely not shy )

If I find any man SHY :roll: , I rather prefer a female company to that :roll:

My list of being apprehensive about females as I mature:

1. They like to compete (who looks better, who dresses better, copyng your hairstyle even and shopping for similar clothes, only that they wouldn't wear it when you are around);

2. try to go out with the same guy they very well know you might be interested in or have even gone out with before;

3. Guy's are better advisors;

4. Gossiping and causing conflicts;

5. Discourage you from your goals out of jealousy ........

6. Find it difficult to confide in a female


Having said that, I always think it's still good to have one or two good female friend, who is like a sister.

SP, you seems to have a very liberal husband and that only comes with trust and confidence. I wish for the same :)

I am very very very THANKFUL to god, for having got him. HE HAS UNDERSTOOD MY PULSE, HAS GREAT CONFIDENCE in me. :) Never once he would even have a shadow or distrust. :clap: Great guy indeed. :)

Aiyooo....SP, were U talking abt U or ME???!!!... I too fall into the same category...

I found myself being more comfortable with male than female right from my school days... the reasons being(in addition to those given by GS & SP) - most men are open-minded in any discussion ... most women get offended easily & if U don't agree with them on any of their views, they feel that U r against them rather than understanding that it's only their views that U disagree... Once u disagree with their views, they feel that U r bullying them & then the relatonship will never get thicker...

Above all these, I got to learn a lot from my male friends...abt latest technology, the economy, philosophy etc etc... their analysis abt things have always amazed me... Group study with guys has unfolded many different ways to learn things & many different perspectives on any topic... Learning with them has always been fun(not the serious group study tht girls used to do)... Guys have always been ready to teach U things that they know... Most girls r hesitant to teach U those they know for the fear of U becoming as knowledgeable as them... This will be very evident during school & college days...& definitely men are better advisors... emotionally more stable...

Another probable reason for me being comfortable with men is that I grew up in a joint family where I was the only girl child... So had been in the company of boys most of the time...

Reg Becks' bet that there can never be a 'only f'ship' betw' a male female... I've not felt anything more than f'ship with any of my close male friends except for one... I've always admired my friends(male & female) for what they are... But I don't think that admiration(though it can be easily misunderstood) can be called 'more than f'ship'... Anyways, it all depends on ones view on what friendship is & what is 'more than f'ship'...ie., where they have drawn their line betw' f'ship& love...
