Your experiences with Thalaivar and TMM are really interesting and contains lot of infos.

Im sure you would have participated in TMM's rally in chennai in the year 1989 to coincide with his 60 th birthday. I was fortunate enough to take part in the rally boarding a van which had Trichy NT fans.

What a grand rally it was!!!!. I think the crowd was a massive one which would have easily touched about 2lacs. It began from periamet and passed via mount road, RK salai and ended in marina beach. NT along with family and party functioneries witnessed the rally at a specially erected dias near Musci Academy. The rally took 7 hours to reach the final venue at Marina beach. ( It began around 2.00pm and ended at 9.00 pm)

Then there was a massive public meeting which was inagurated by Shri.Krupanandha variar. The meeting was also attended by AIADMK (Janaki faction) leaders.

This rally shook the whole of TN and Chennai in particular and all the major political parties were surprised at Thalaivar's mass base and the capacity to organise such a massive rally within months of starting a political party.

In fact I came to know from an interview of Major sunderrajan that DMK was willing to give TMM around 20seats and undertake all election expenses. But our Thalaivar had politely rejected the offer saying that he came out of Congress for thier betrayal to MGR's wife Janaki's Government and it is only logical and dharma to have alliance with Janaki faction. It is also a well known fact that he spent from his pocket for running the party and for election related expenses.

How many poltical leaders will this courage and conscious to do this???

As rightly indicated by Mr.Murali Srinivas, Thalaivar's fans are out in the open now with more vigour and enthu and i pray God that we get a good leader to lead Thalaivar's padai.

Ourthalaivar led the fast in Chennai near Kannagi statue where we around 15 nos of college students who were TMM members from Presidency college took part with full enthusiasm.

later, around 12 noon, around 500 students from our college joined us in the fast. Our Thalaivar was present from 8 am in the morning till the end at 5pm. Lots of poltical leaders visited thalaivar in the pandal and offered thier wishes and support.

It was a much talked about event in Tamil nadu those days.

தமிழ்நாட்டைத் தாண்டினால் இந்தியாவில் எங்கும் நடிகர் திலகம் தான். புதிய பறவையின் தாக்கம் பாரதம் முழுதும் பரவியிருப்பதற்கான சான்று. மராட்டிய மாநிலம் மும்பை தலைநகரில் அனைத்துத் தரப்பினரின் வேண்டுகோள் வலியுறுத்தலாக மாறும் அளவிற்கு நடிகர் திலகத்தின் திரைப்படங்களை அங்கு திரையிட கோரிக்கைகள் எழுந்துள்ளன. அடுத்த சில கால கட்டங்களில் மும்பை அரோரா வில் நடிகர் திலகத்தின் படங்களைத் திரையிட கோரிக்கை வலுப்பெற்றுள்ளது. அது சாத்தியமாவதும் உறுதியாகலாம். அரங்கு நிர்வாகம் தேதி கொடுக்க வேண்டும், மற்றபடி படங்களின் விநியோக உரிமை, மற்றும் கட்டண நிர்ணயங்கள் உள்ளிட்ட காரணங்கள் சரிப்பட்டால் மிக விரைவில் நம் படங்களை மும்பை அரோராவில் பார்க்கலாம்.

Dear Shivaram,

Due to some personal reasons, I was not able to attend the rally and as well as the fasting. But, I was in touch with the functionaries. The main person who made the arrangements for the fasting was Mr. Kondal dasan, who later contested from Chepak constituency in TMM ticket. He was the main communication point for us during that time.

In fact, when Thalaivar started the party, many youngsters who was not having any proper guidance or who are neglected by the existing parties, participated in major events. I heard from our fans that during the mega rally, most of the fans from Tutucorin and Nagercoil participated with full enthu.

TMM was offered 20 seats initially by DMK and then it went upto 30. But our thalaivar was very clear in mind to have an alliance with Janaki faction. We got 50 seats in the alliance. In chennai we contested, in Chepak (Mr. Kondal Dasan), Purasaiwakkam ( Mr. Purasai Kumaran, still active in Congress), RK Nagar ( Maaveeran Rajasekaran), Triplicane ( Mr. Gajanathan). Among them, Maaveeran Rajasekaran got considerable amount of votes in RK Nagar, where he was an MLA previously.

The media at that time wrote badly about the defeat of TMM. But in reality , in around 10 seats, our candidates faired well. Mr. Radhakrishnan in Nagercoil, Mr. Thirumalaisamy in Aaththur(Dindigul), Mr. Sornalingam ( Thiruvadaanai), Mr. EVKS Elangovan ( Sathiyamangalam), Mr. Venkatramanan ( Sengottai), Mr. Pal Pandian (Kovilpatti), Mr. Kumarasamy ( Kumbakonam), Maaveran Rajasekaran ( RK Nagar) - all these people contested in TMM and lost the elections with less than 5000 votes. Mr. D.Srinivasan(Trichy-1), in Viluppram ( I forgot the name of the candidate), Mr.Kondal Dasan (Chepauk), Mr. Shivaji ( Vellore) got considerable amount of votes. Thalapathi Sanmugam, didn't contest in the election and he was taking care of the election work in Thiruvaiyaaru, where our thalaivar contested. Our thalaivar lost the election by 10,000 votes. Still, some people wrote that our thalaivar lost the deposits. It is not true. Our thalaivar was defeated since it was wrong selection of consituency. We all expected that our thalaivar will contest from Nagercoil. But some wrong advisers misguided him. if it Nagercoil, it is a sure win. At that time, all the new papers including JV, wrote that our thalaivar's victory was a certain. Excpet one magazaine, Nakkeeran, where they indicated that DMK candidiate was ahead than our thalaivar due to the intense canvasing.


Since we didn't win even a single seat, the media were describing this defeat as a major setback and it reached the common people also. Yes, we got defeated, but not badly as described.

Among the names, I have listed in this posting, most of the people are still active in politics.

Immediately after the results, a group consisting of Mr. EVKS Elangovan, Mr. Pal Pandian , Mr. Kondal Dasan went and joined with Congress. Actually, Mr. Pal Pandian, was the one, who wanted strongly to have alliance with DMK.

After our thalaivar left the politics, the remaining thalapathis also found themselves attached to a party to continue their political interests. Maaveeran Rajasekaran and group joined with Late. Vazhapadi Ramamoorthy and thus in Congress. Some people went back with Mr. EVKS Elangovan. But majority of them, keeping away from politics.

Even one or two current MLAs are from our fan base.

Anyway, whatever happened is happened. Our thalaivar's sena is in need of a leader to lead them. This is the reality.

நடிகர் திலகத்தின் 61-வது பிறந்த நாள் விழா ஊர்வலம் மெரீனா பொதுக்கூட்டம் பற்றிய நினைவுகூறல்கள் பழைய ஞாபகங்களை கிளறி விட்டு விட்டது. நீங்கள் குறிப்பிட்ட இந்த ஊர்வலத்தை போலவே சென்னையை பொறுத்தவரை நமது ரசிகர்களால் நடத்தப்பட்ட இரண்டு ஊர்வலங்கள் மிகவும் சிறப்பு வாய்ந்தவை. ஒன்று 1984-ல் அன்றைய துணை ஜனாதிபதியாக இருந்த ஆர்.வி. அவர்கள் சிறப்பு அழைப்பாளராக பங்கு பெற்ற இன்றைய எம்.ஆர்.சி. நகரில் சென்று நிறைவடைந்த பேரணி.

விகேஆர்-நாகேஷ்-மனோரமா கலக்கல் காமெடிக் காட்சியை, நாகேஷ், "எங்கிருந்தாலும் வாழ்க!" என அழுகையுடன் ஆரம்பித்து "அர்ஜுனா...! அழிந்தாயடா...!" என்கின்ற முழக்கத்துடன் முடித்து வைக்க, அடுத்த காட்சியாக கோபாலும், லதாவும் மலைவாசிகளை சந்திக்கின்றனர். பக்தர்களும் இங்கே அடுத்தடுத்து வரப் போகும் பாடல் காட்சிகளுக்காக திரைக்கு அருகே Steadyஆகவும், Readyஆகவும் இருக்கின்றனர். இசையரசர்களின் பின்னணி இசை இக்காட்சியின் பிரமிப்பு. மலைவாசிகள், தங்களது இனத்தை சேர்ந்த ஒரு புதுமணத்தம்பதியரை வாழ்த்தும் வகையில், தங்களின் பாணியில் பாடி ஆடி களிப்புறுகின்றனர். இங்கே இத்திரையரங்கிலோ தங்களது இதயதெய்வத்தின் புகழைப் போற்றும் வகையில் ஈடு இணை சொல்ல முடியா பக்தர்கள் ஆடிப்பாடி மகிழ்கின்றனர்.

'இது ஆசை மரம், Tree of desire' என பதிலளிக்கிறார் கோபால். தொடர்ந்து அவர் நிறைவேற வேண்டிய ஆசையை மனதில் நினைத்துக் கொண்டு இம்மரத்தில் ஒரு கல்லை துணியில் முடிந்து கட்டினால், காயான ஆசை கனிந்து பழமாகும், அதாவது எண்ணிய ஆசை ஈடேறும் என்று கூறுகிறார். உடனே லதா, தனது உள்ளத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருக்கும் ஆசையெனும் பாரத்தை கல்லிலே இறக்கி மரத்திலே ஏற்றுகிறார். ஆசைமரத்திலே கல்லைக் கட்டுகின்ற லதாவிடம் கோபால் நெருங்கி உன் ஆசை என்ன என வினவுகிறார். 'நான் சொல்லமாட்டேன்' என்கிறார் லதா. தொடர்ந்து கோபால் பொலிவோடு கேட்க, லேடி லதா விலகிச் செல்ல, கனவாய் இருக்கும் ஆசை, மரத்தால் நனவாகும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையுடன் அழகிய அகன்ற நிலப்பரப்பை நோக்கி சிட்டுக்குருவியாய் பறக்கிறார் லதா. இசை இனிமை காதுகளில் தேன் பாய்ச்சுகிறது.

"சிட்டுக்குருவி முத்தம் கொடுத்து சேர்ந்திடக் கண்டேனே!
செவ்வானம் கடலினிலே கலந்திடக் கண்டேனே!"

குருவிகளின் முத்தத்திற்கும், கடல்-வான் கலப்பிற்கும் தனது இசை ஒலியால் இடையூறு நேர்ந்து விடுமோ என எண்ணி இசைக்குயில் மெல்லிய குரலில் வரிகளை விருத்தம் போல விளம்ப, இந்த ஆதர்சன கீதத்தின் ஆரம்ப இசை ஆன்மாவை அள்ளுகிறது. இந்த இரு ஆரமப இசைகளுக்கே ஒரு ஆஸ்கார் நிச்சயம் கொடுக்கலாம் விஸ்ராமுக்கு.

நடிகர் திலகம் நளின நடையழகால் நெஞ்சை அள்ளி வெள்ளித்திரையை வியாபிக்க,

அவர்களுக்கு மட்டும் தானா? ரசிகர்களுக்கு ஆஸ்கார் பரிசு என்று வைத்தால் எங்களுக்கு தானே முதலில் தர வேண்டும் என்கின்ற ரீதியில் அடியார்கள் சூடங்களை தங்கள் அன்புக்கரங்களில் ஏற்றி அண்ணலின் அற்புத சரீரத்திற்கு ஆரத்தியாக்க, சுசீலாவின் சாரீரம் சுந்தரமாய் ஒலிக்கத் தொடங்குகிறது.

இத்தருணத்தில் என்னுடைய சில கருத்துக்களைக் கூற விழைகிறேன். தற்போதைய அரசியல் சூழலில் இனிமேல் நமக்கு வேலையில்லை என்பதே உண்மை. நடிகர் திலகத்திற்கு துரோகம் செய்தவர்களே பெரும்பான்மையாக உள்ளனர். சென்னையில் அவருடைய சிலை வைப்பதற்கு மிகவும் இடையூறாக இருந்தவர்கள் தேசிய இயக்கத்தினர். சென்னை சத்யமூர்த்தி பவனில் அவருடைய படம் வைப்பதையே என்னவோ பெரிய சாதனையாக தம்பட்டம் அடித்துக் கொள்ளும் தேசிய இயக்கத்தில் ஒருவருக்குக் கூட நடிகர் திலகத்தின் பெயரைச் சொல்லக் கூட அருகதை இல்லை என்பதே உண்மை. அது மட்டுமல்ல, நடிகர் திலகம் அரசியல் இயக்கங்களைத் தாண்டி ஒரு இறைவன் போல் தற்போது இருக்கிறார். தற்பொழுது இருக்கும், தேசியவாதி என்று சொல்லிக் கொள்ளும் ஒருவருக்கும் அவர் பெயரைச் சொல்லக் கூட தகுதியில்லை என்கிற பொழுது இவர்கள் யார் நம்மை வழி நடத்த. இனிமேல் சிவாஜி ரசிகர்களுக்கு யாரும் அரசியல் கற்றுத் தர வேண்டியதில்லை, அரசியல் தேவையுமில்லை, வழிகாட்டவும் தேவையில்லை. முதலில் அவர்கள் மனதில் நடிகர் திலகத்திற்கு உரிய இடம் தரட்டும். நடிகர் திலகத்தின் ரசிகர்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டும் அளவுக்கு தகுதி படைத்த் தலைவர் யாரும் தமிழ்நாட்டில் இல்லை என்பதே உண்மை. கலைஞர் அவர்கள் தனி மனிதனாக போராடி கடற்கரையில் நடிகர் திலகத்திற்கு சிலை வைத்த போது, இவர்கள் எங்கே போயிருந்தார்கள். இனிமேலும் நடிகர் திலகத்தின் ரசிகர்களை வழி நடத்த யாரும் தேவையில்லை. அப்படி தேவைப் பட்டாலும் கூட அவருடைய நகமும் சதையுமாய் உதிரத்திலும் ஊறி இருக்கும் அவருடைய குடும்பத்தினருக்குத்தான், குறிப்பாக அவருடைய மகன்களுக்குத் தான் அந்த தகுதி யிருக்கிறது.

எனவே இனிமேலும் எந்த தலைவரையும் எதிர்பாராமல் நாம் நம் மனசாட்சி வழி நடப்போம். நடிகர் திலகத்தை உண்மையாக தலைவராக பாவிக்கும் வேட்பாளர் யாராவது நம் தொகுதியில் நின்றால் அவருக்கு வாக்களிப்போம், அவர் எந்தக் கட்சியின் சார்பாக நின்றாலும் கூட. இதுவே நம் அனைவருடைய எண்ண ஓட்டமுமாய் இருக்கும் என்று நம்புகிறேன்.

இது என்னுடைய தனிப்பட்ட கருத்து என்பதையும் வலியுறுத்த விருமபுகிறேன்.
