Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Amala Paul starrer Thalaivaa has been wrapped up with the shoot and the post production works are also over.The next stage is obtaining censor certificate and it is notfar away. Yes, Thalaivaa will go for censor on July 24th. The makers are sure the film will be either certified with U or U/A.Thalaivaa stars Vijay, Amala Paul, Santhanam, Sathyaraj and many. Music is composed by G.V.Prakash. The film is directed by Director Vijay and produced by Chandrarakash Jain under his banner Srimishri Productions and will be released by Vendhar Films. Already the film has been scheduled for August 9th release and the promotions are yet to begin.

Thalaivaa, directed by AL Vijay, featuring Ilayathalapathy Vijay is one of the most awaited films of 2013. This film features Amala Paul as the main lead along with Ragini, an import from the Hindi television world and Bollywood.
The actress states that the director took her on board Thalaivaa after seeing her images in a popular English daily. While being blown by Vijay’s professionalism, the actress also admits that she was totally awed by the fan base that the Nanban star enjoys. She quips, “I am flummoxed by Vijay sir’s fans. Wherever he makes a public appearance, the crowd that gathers to see him is amazing”.
Meanwhile, Thalaivaa is soon going in for Censor certification after which the release date would be officially announced.

THALAIVAA'S SUCCESS WILL BE BETTER THAN THUPPAKKI !
Thalaivaa is red hot in trade and almost all areas are sold for a record price and only Andhra Pradesh distribution is yet to be sold as the negotiations are going on. The producers say the distribution rights for many areas are much higher than Thuppakki and they didn't expected such a demand, even the satellite rights is sold to Sun TV for an amount which is the highest among all Tamil films till now.
Going by the trade reports the opening will be tremendous and if the film gets positive word of mouth then it will create a new record after Thuppakki, who knows it might exceed Thuppakki too said a source. The censor process are yet to be over and it will be completed within a week or two and then the official release date will be announced.
The theatres which are releasing Thalaivaa is planning to open the reservations much earlier so that they can reap the maximum by the opening weekend itself, now all eyes on Vendhar Movies and Mishri Productions to announce the release date.

Will Vijay’s extremely-anticipated Thalaivaa make it into the elite Rs 150 crore club? It’s producers certainly seem confident that the film will join films like Shah Rukh Khan’s Don-2 and My Name is Khan as far as collections go. According to reports, Kalaipuli S Dhanu had estimated the collection of his Vijay’s last film Thuppakki,at a little more than Rs 125 crores. But from what producer S Chandraprakash, Thalaivaa will certainly catapult the actor to Rs 150-crore club in the film industry. “Definitely, every project will exceed its conceived budget and Thalaivaa did as well. Directed by Madarasapattinam director A L Vijay, Thalaivaa stars Vijay and Amala Paul in the lead roles and is set entirely in Mumbai. Vijay has had a pretty good run at the box-office over the last couple of years with all his films doing brisk business. After the moderate success of Kavalan, films like Velayudham, Nanban and Thuppakki were officially declared as box-office successes and the expectations for his upcoming projects have all but skyrocketed.
Chandraprakash rubbished the news that Thalaivaa (meaning Leader) projects Vijay as a politician to further the actor’s political future. “Thalaivaa has nothing to with politics. Even among a group of friends there will be a leader-like person. There is a leader in every classroom. So the title should be understood in that context,” he said. With the film due for clearance from the Censor Board in a week’s time from now, it is expected to hit screens before the third week of August. When asked about composer GV Prakash’s accusations against audio labels that the latter rip them of their due royalty,
Chandraprakash said, “If musicians demand it, they should get only the expenditure reimbursed and gain their salary from their royalty. Or, they should themselves sell the music under their own label. Only the Procuders’ Council should sort this issue out,” he concluded

Thalaivaa's producer, Chandraprakash Jain of Sri Mishri Production, is in the spotlight as his big budget Vijay - Vijay movie is getting ready to release in the 2nd week... of August, either on the 8th or 9th.
The film is yet to be censored but the team is hopeful of completing these formalities quickly and is expecting a clean U certificate. The producer spoke to our Behindwoods Correspondent and had many interesting details to share about the movie.
"We are coming back to production after a big break, after Rickshaw Mama and now with the support of the complete family, we will be producing more movies, with complete involvement and interest. Everything is God's will"
"Ilayathalapathy Vijay liked A.L.Vijay's script so much that he straightaway recommended this script to us and we were very happy to start the project right away. We frankly didn't expect to be doing such a big project so soon"
The total budget of Thalaivaa is rumored to be around 50 crores but the producer has already sold his movie for a higher price and has recovered his investment. 2000 plus screens would see a grand release of Thalaivaa.
Totally 120 days were spent filming the movie predominantly in Mumbai and Sydney. The songs shot in Sydney are expected to be a visual treat for the audience.
Initially titles such as Thanga Magan, Thalaivan and even Thalapathy were under consideration but finally the director and producer decided to use the title Thalaivaa and Ilayathalapathy Vijay was only too happy to approve it.
The producer says that there have been no compromises in the production of Thalaivaa even when it came to the number of junior artistes and dancers involved.
Ilayathalapathy Vijay recently happened to see a special screening of the movie and was thrilled with the output and thanked the producer wholeheartedly. He is ready to work on one more film for the same producer in the near future too.
On the whole, Chandraprakash Jain expects the movie to be a big mass break for both the Vijays.

Yesterday watched Pattathu Yaanai. The claps and whistles for Thalaivaa trailer was extraordinary. Normally Vijay gets lot of applause among family audience and after Thuppakki's grand success, it has only multiplied. Hope Vijays cash in.

Vijay wanted to move on from ‘anna’ to ‘bro’
“Vanganna Vanakkanganna…” from Thalaivaa is surely the latest anthem for the youth. The song’s topping the charts and is played on a loop in all the radio stations. The composer, in a recent interview revealed how his team responded for the song, when he showed them his rough track. “Everybody loved it and they applauded frantically after listening to the song,” glees the young composer. Vijay supposedly appreciated GV Prakash personally, but the superstar had a complaint. “Vijay was very happy. But he said that just when he wanted to move on from his trademark ‘anna’ trend to the new ‘bro’ system, I’m bringing him back to the old one,” laughs GV Prakash. But the composer convinced the actor to sing the song saying that let this be the last of your legendary ‘anna’ system. Today almost every lips chant the song like a mantra. Meanwhile, the film’s going for the censors shortly and is expected to release in the second week of August.
