Actually I do not add garlic for my chillie paste, the reason is,
at times when I make sambal, or fry noodles, I like to smash
the garlic and add it to the hot oil first. It gives out a very good aroma.
So I do not want more garlic in my dish, that's why.:-D
You can add garlic in your chillie past while grinding.
It is all personal preference.

I get to see both ahvithi keerai and manatakkali keerai in one of the pasar malams (Plum, not that movie) here and wonder what you can do with it. Thanks to you, I am making a trip there tomorrow.

DRAGON FRUIT AGAR2 (JELLY)
Ingredients:
12 grms agar- agar powder (1 packet)
100 grms sugar more if you like sweeter
600 ml water
200 ml coconut milk or low fat milk
1 cup of dragon fruit puree. ( The red type)
2 pandan leaf tied in a knot for fragrance
Method:
Soak the agar agar powder in a pot with the water.
Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
Now add in the pandan leaf and bring it up to a boil.
Cook until the agar agar powder has dissolved.
Lower down the heat and add in the coconut milk, sugar
and the dragon fruit puree. Bring it up to a boil.
Turn of the heat and taste for sweetness.
Remove the pandan leaves. Pour the mixture into a tray,
or mould as you like. Chill until firm, before serving.
