The Telugu version too has been titled 'Thuppakki' and it will be released simultaneously along with the Tamil original, on Deepavali day. Amid thunderous applause from the audience, Vijay was invited on stage and the actor delivered his address n Telugu. "Shankar introduced me to Andhra Pradesh with Snehitudu (Nanban). Now A R Murugadoss is making me more familiar with Thuppakki', he said. Expecting the movie to do well in Tollywood, Vijay said the encouragement from the audience made feel like as if was attending an audio launch function n Chennai. Vijay also sang a song on the occasion. Murugadoss and Kajal Agarwal also spoke.

THUPPAKKI Has been Certified with U/A by the Censor Board.. So its the Pure Mass(Fans) + Class(Family) Treat this Diwali..
