it need not be sour too if made iwth right amount of tamarind. I think u must hav tasted vatha kozhambu DONE With generous amount of methi seeds. :)
if was bitter,the culprit could have been the vathal itself.Sundakai vathal will make the vatha kuzhambu bitter.I love manathakalli vathal kuzhambu.It def is amazing.I also love vendhiya kuzhambu which is basically the same as vathakuzhabu but instead of a vathal you would add a normal veggi like vendakai or murungakai with a lil bit of vendhiyam :).However the conclusion is Vathakuzhambu is equivalent to ambrosia :DQuote:
