The latest SunTv song ranking does not have the Vaala Meenukum song at all. Was the song banned or something?
Film clippings on television

The stand off between the Tamil Film Producer’s Council (TFPC) and Tamil channels seems to have been resolved over the issue of clippings and songs from new releases. The TFPC members reached a consensus and entered into an agreement with Jaya TV over screening of songs and clippings from new films.
As per the deal Jaya TV would give the TFPC, 25 percent of their revenue from advertisements that they get by telecasting the trailer programmes, songs and scene clippings from new releases. Says A.L.Alagappan of TFPC: “Jaya TV has agreed to our conditions which make it clear that there should not be any ratings for the films and interviews with stars and technicians should also not be telecast”.
TFPC would be the sole authority to telecast the film based trailers and clippings and all producers who want to show the clipping from their films should go through the official channel.
Added Alagappan: “We are holding talks with Sun TV also, we hope to strike a deal soon”. It is obvious that the TFPC has gone out of its way to curry favour with Jaya TV a clear indication which way the wind is blowing in Tamilnadu elections!
Behindwoods rankings are not too bad but still I find some of the rankings wrong. In the upcoming top 10 movies, the have placed a silly movie like Jery and Pachakuthirai ahead of E. E deserves more than 9th position.

Pachakuthirai should be a class movie..
