Just heard 'ippodenna parvai' from 'Makkal Atchi' as the discussion on the raga was happening in the other thread.
This is a perfect song for this thread. The typical Raja's uneven beats to convey passion, the whole tune oozes erotica. Chitra underplays this to the required level so as to convey the intimacy. Ofcourse Chitra converts this into more of a melody that eroticism but I am not complaining :)

Aditya 365 had some superb numbers. That olden times tune 'jaanavule' is something to die for. Gangai Amaran in one program said that Raja took the inspiration from 'O Devadas' (C Subbaraman the MD) and created 'janavule'. Wonderful number.
