dev soup looking nice. next week i have to try. today and tomorrow too busy for the party. saturday resting day. sunday let me try out the soup.

I tried it in mixed veg soup today & it was good. Veg mix I used- bottlegourd, cabbage, cauliflower, peas, tomato, garlic. I want to try spinach,potato,tomato,garlic combo with this pwd. I have a gut feeling tht it'll taste very good.

and mushy brinjal dip in our local newspaper.

I tried out the patties first.
Here is the recipe:
MUSHY SAVOURY PATTIES
Ingredients:
(A)
200 grms carrots chopped
200 grms cauliflower cleaned, chopped
300 grms potato skinned chopped
Salt
(B)
2 tbs coriander leaves
1 fresh red chillie chopped
Little salt
Little pepper powder
(C)
Little flour if needed
Some chopped spring onions
Bread crumbs for coating
Little oil for pan frying
Method:
Put all the ingredients A in a pot, add little water.
Boil till all are cooked. Cool and drain.
Add all the cooked ingredients into a blender.
Add in all the ingredients from B
Blend until it’s a chunky mush, or you can
use a masher to to mash it.
Add the chopped spring onion and little flour.
Make it into a 1.5cm thick patties.
When it is done , dap the patties onto the bread crumbs.
Heat a pan with about 2 tsp of oil, and pan fry
the patties until golden brown.
Serve with a mixture of sour cream and finely chopped chives,
or a sweet chillie sauce from a bottle.
NOTE: you can make heafty patties to make veggie burger to
go with the buns.

RIPE MANGO PATCHADI
Ingredients:
2 ripe mangoes
Salt to taste
¼ tsp tumeric powder
¼ cup freshly grated coconut
4 fresh green chillies
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ a cup yogurt
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tbs coconut oil
Method:
Peel the mangoes, cut them into cubes.
Put them in a pan with the salt, tumeric powder
and 1 cup of water. Boil over low heat for 5 minutes.
Grind the coconut, green chillies, and mustard seeds.
to a smooth thick puree.
Stir the puree into the cooking mangoes, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Beat the yogurt with a large spoon to make a smooth thick liquid.
Pour these over the mangoes.
Remove the pot when the gravy starts bubbling.
Pour the oil into the patchadi and garnish with curry leaves.
Stir gently and cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Serve as a side dish with plain rice.
