Surprised why thiraipaadal says the movie is unknown. In the same site you have it under 'Kannukkoru Vannakkili' as well !!!

nice song - If you can tolerate Raaja's voice (Which I absolutely love), then this song is an absolute delight.
The strings counterpointing with the voice provide a surreal feel .. awesome..
Jaiganes,
oru dobut.. endha thread nu therila.. Karthick shobhana - telugu song..
enna ragam.. Hamsadwani nu solreengala............
enga time 3 a m ku parthen.. endha thread nu nyabgam ilai enaku..........
I had posted it under Gems of Raja under different genres..
Reposting it here..
Hamsadwani from Raaja is always special. It is one of the raagas for which Raaja has a a soft corner.. very evident from this classic..
only spoiler is picturisation always.. If ever we begin a Raaja-SPB thread for telugu songs - this one needs to be there...
Whenever the hamsadwani raaga comes to Raaja, he welcomes it with a fleet of cellos and violins and flute invariably.
Takes my breath away..

Ich Liebe Dich - Pudhu Paattu
Good rendition of OhO Megam vandhadhO.. A comment in another rendition by the same pair reads, 'Look how Ilayaraja's tunes dance on the piano'. So true.
Suresh and Jai, thanks for the thol poruL ArAichi.
In Jai's link, Rex and co are placing KVK as another EVK however I find only this song of the same calibre. Tobe precise, this song sounds like it was com%osed in the EVK period while unnai naan paarkaiyil etc sound like the Ramarajan-Mano period. I feel the backstory ofthis album will be quite interesting..m
Gaanam Then Kaatrodu - what a mesmerizing song and I love IR's rendition. Thanks to Plum for this rare number and Jai for providing more details about this movie. Listening to the other songs in this movie.
Pardon me if I'm being a spoilsport here.
There are certain works of this man that are standalone entities; unparalleled and unchallenged by any other albums, even his own, let alone other MDs.
EVK is one such album that, to me, reflects a kind of meditational state of mind, a state of absolute tranquility, when it was composed. The simplicity and elegance of each tune and the level of orchestration is, I think, possible only when the deepest understanding of music unites with the quest for the inner self.
Guru, Moondrampirai, Agni Natchathiram, Thiruvasagam, IR classical with Mandonlin Srinivas, collection of songs from his Ramana Maharishi albums, are some of the other works that command a holy grail status in the respective genres; the brighter stars in the star sprinkled sky. Of course, this is just my opinion.
