As far as tamil cinema is concerned Karnan remains a phenomenon, a never before and never again experience! It is a movie with real grandeur and story content with an indelible superb performance from NT the real crowd puller who proved his legacy. The other movie now released is just a loose adaptation of Errol Flynn's Captain Blood. Those who have seen Captain Blood with the real swash buckling hero Flynn for his fastest ever sword fights, this movie will be just a time pass affair. One can now realize the reality situation that there is no hype or expectation with this movie on par with Karnan. Though they claim that more theatres have been booked (!), the movie certainly has fallen below the expectations and has lost its crowd pulling capacity in the present situations of the movie's unfitting story line to suit the tastes of younger generation, which Karnan did well as it has no time boundary for its story content and the inimitable acting style of the one and only one NT! truth is always bitter of one succumbs to one sided views!!!
