If I remember correctly, VJ may have sung a song in Laksmi Vanthachu, composed by Raveendran. But I have never heard the song. Does anyone know if there is one?

A rare duet by the TFM veterans. Though jikkis voice shows her age, she still sounds good. PS , as always, is in best form.
I think the song is picturised on Lakshmi (PS)and venniradai Nirmala(Jikki). Jaishankar was the hero.

I have no other details. 'Poovinum melliya poongodi' is another popular song from KV.

Kurumbinilum is a lovely solo in which PS sounds young and pure. A fine choice to begin the Kannan Week!
Kaatrinile Varum Geetham is one of Raveendran's stellar compositions (I prefer it to Aezhisai Geethamae, which got more air-time) and VJ renders it impeccably. Regarding your "abaswaram drums" comment: This solo is the opening titles song (Ambika as Karnatak singer a la Sri Vidya and Aezhuswarangal in AR) and that "tonal" ("konal"?) shift in the orchestra is when "Nadanam"Saleem or "Publicity": Elegant is flashed on the screen....or was it Stunts and Stills? :D And that's the context for the jarring bit in the interlude...Being a titles track, I don't believe this song was featured on any of the song-clips shows on DD.

Ramki, is there any problem at the end of the song. Suddenly it stops and begins again with a bit by Jikki. Any tech snag (airlines language)?
