Darbari kanada for the weekend
There are many songs in Darbari kanada or a tune close to the raga. I chose this one because it happens to be a bhajan and also brings out the raga well:

Aah ws dubbed into Tamil as 'avan' with all tunes in tact. The Tamil versions fo the songs were translations of the Hindi lyrics. All songs were popular. I will post a song I liked most and still sing - Raja ki aayegi baraat ! :)
A song to begin the week! :)
From the days of bullock carts! :)
Sunil posted a song from Sansar (1951). Sansar is the Hindi version of Samsaram(Tamil) (1950) and Samsaram(Telugu). Most of the songs were popular and searched for more. I found this song which brought back memories of my childhood days when we used to ride a bullock cart from a railway station in Tanjore district to our ancestral village during summers. I still remember the ride on a dirt road along a river. Here is the Hindi song:
khat khat khat gaadi rook rahe hai.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afrnUNHsDyw
Here is the Tamil version(the video is different):
kada kada loda loda vaNdi.......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4TfxFmrGrM
Bullock carts are becoming extinct. I hope somebody opens a part with these carts for joy rides! :)
Bhupali for the weekend !
Here is a song in Bhupali from the movie Bhabhi ki chudiyan(1961):
Jyoti kalash chalke, still a popular song:
