RC,
I was referring to these two songs where I thought MV imitates Surulirajan.
1)solla vekkamA irukku sokkammA naisA naisA ...
2)enggenggum kaNdEnammA peNgaL thanggatthil ...
Neel D,
Glad you reminded 'engengum kandenamma'. Great spoofing of thengai by SPB. He was also too good in 'konjam othungu'.
Ramki, is there an imitation week coming on POW.. ? ;)
In addition to Kannirasi( sugabagame) I think MV 's another CSJ imitation song was 'ANANDHA THENKAATRU' ,with SPS , dont know name of film
Thanks everyone :)
SPB in suruLi's voice
vaa machaan vaa
veettukku veedu
kaNNe kaNNaana kaNNaa
RR:)
I think "ananda then katru" is from "manipur mamiyar"Quote:

Song: vizhigaLe vizhigaLe
Film: maamiyargaL jakkiradhai
Singer : SPB
lyrics: vairamuthu
Music: Chandrabose
The 'Jakkiradhai' warning in the title might have scared people from stepping into the cinemas to watch the film, but dont let it stop you from listening to this sweet solo by SPB.
He beautifully brings out the fine nuances of VM's lyrics depicting the expectations of an expecting father.
'MJ" is a typical, old fashioned MIL-DIL tug off war story. It had Pushapalatha has the MIL and NaLini has the DIL. Raveendar was NaLinis jodi and todays song is picturised on him.
I sincerely hope this is a original tune of CB's :)
ellorum votu poda poiteengala? No responses for this song so far!I have not heard this song before .But anyway thanks for the song Ramki.
SPB arumaiyaga Paadi Irukkirar! (sila neram konjam Jaasthiyagave Izhukkirar --> Kavithai Punaiyngalllllll --> Ore Izhuvai). CB seldom experimented with either tune or interludes, so nothing much to say about them.
Soft song and nice one. I do not want to image Nalini doing a bharathanatiyam like steps for this song (which I think should be based on the music)
Thanks Ramki for the rare song, hearing it for the first time
