Mood and feel are all very well
But must one just sit there and dwell
Unless one has little to tell
That to me is one hard sell

Pixel & decibel, in tandem they gell
whisper and quell, not a loud story tell
The mood & feel, so Unlike wordy babble
let the mind grapple, many an emotional fable
And the senses trickle, many a psychic battle
its for others to quibble, for me it's too petty a squabble
this plot dabble, I don't give a damn, like Clark Gable
You get me wrong o learned friend
A patient ear I always lend
To a novel tale, a modern trend
I very much like my mind to bend
To anyone who can my way send
A story, I say 'do not mend
What ain't broke, You can depend
On the good old beginning middle and end
The final revelation was like a B movie. First letters it seems. pOngadA dEi.
There was nothing thrilling in the meetings with Wilkinson, the snitching minister, cycling alone etc. All built-up like moments of great cinematic tension. I could see what he was trying to do, but didn't achieve it. Again, I go back to Rosemary's Baby. Every moment, he makes you feel the unease.
I would have liked it all a lot more if there had been more to it. ennamO irukkuRa maadhiriyE maindain paNNi, kadaisila bussunu pOchchu.
I would be damned if anyone had any idea about the ending. Of course, the revelation itself might be a bit cheaply bought, but that isn't the point.
Rosemary's Baby, unease yes, but after a point, it's one of my less favorite Polanski.
Gimme Repulsion, Chinatown, Tenant (brilliant both technically as well as a thriller in repeat viewings and even more unsettling) Frantic (last half hour here might undersell the film), TGW to R'sB.
I liked Rosemary and to some extent Knife in the Water
Never understood the fuss about Chinatown. oraLavukku sumArA irukkum. But people going aahaa oohoo aahaahaa
Bored stiff by The Pianist
Didn't like TGW

Arrested? You could be flogged publicly in Tehran..
And who will do the flogging? Panahi? :poke: :lol2:
No, Pamela Anderson. Or we could arrange a treaty with Jordan to lend Queen Rania if you insist on royalty service. As you could see, I still like you..
