BTW, Tamil Film industry requires commercial films too for its survivial. It is mixed in the main bloodline of our audience taste. To change that: We require lot of efforts and in the process we should concentrate on *our goal*. I have never seen even a director like MANI doing these kind of things. He sticks to his objective and executes them. after all one should learn to respect basic human values and priorities.
In that case, at any day, I would prefer a good - human giving his best to a egotistic guy giving BETTER IN THE NAME OF ART !
PR, what I meant to say there was: Even good directors have faced these kind of situations. An actor can act in any films provided he likes the script. The duty of the director is to find a suitable character. IN that case, Cheran could have preferred any new comer for those roles and definitly he could have extracted something better than what he did. Especially the people who acted in brother & brother-in-law roles. IMO, that girl did an awesome job compared to Padmapriya and Cheran combo. Anyone in Cheran's place (a good director) would not have acted in that and would have gone for a new comer. :) This is my opinion.Quote:
ChEran has said time and again how he has had problems trying to find heroes to act in his films. Apparently he only wanted to direct TT. But no hero was willing to play a the role of a guy who had a pre-marital relationship and ran away from home leaving his parents in the lurch. So ChEran did it himself. It was definitely a mediocre performance, even by his own admission.
prabhuram,
i never degraded the greatness of any cheran movie... i just dont like that fellow acting, and he is behaving so haughtily, and is very disrespectful of others...
hmmmmmm.......yendha hero pullayo/perano adhu??? .......Quote:

And ,mixing personal behaviour with art is something I can't buy ..The relation between me and artist is just art only ..I don't bother how good he is in his personal life ,How many wifes he has ,How he act innocent infront of others...I prefer to buy vegitable from a vendor who is honest in his business and deliver good, fresh vegitable ..Do I need to make sure how good he is in real life? I don't think so
yes.....must appreciate Kamal in this aspect,...... .......he has achieved so much for Tamil and Indian cinema but i have hardly seen him speaking like that........infact he still holds so much respect for his seniors like Shivaji and contemporaries like Rajini and encourages the next gen like Maddy.......Quote:

3. Not really aware on this except on his comparision on Vikram and Rajkiran performance. That too as i mentioned his words were taken in different sense. It would be helpful if someone bring exact words he throw mud on other. Links would be helpful
I was watching his program in Jaya TV(Celluloid Cheran) last week. He was in praise of directors like Gautham, Selva, Bala, etc...
