CSK gained momentum only after those two drops and left MI behind. But yeah, we still could have won this with proper batting order :(Quote:

Great job guys, although you don't accept me as a sachin fan :)
I turned the stream off as soon as Pollard got out. How many times have we seen the master sitting helpless like this in the dressing room. As a bonus, he was nursing an injury too. That famous Chennai test comes to my mind immediately.
Ithuthaanga en vethanai.... he deserved to win more than anybod today.Quote:

Ravi Shastri: The captain of the losing team Sachin tendulkar
Calm down, bro. One defeat is not going to take anything from the MI team and they have been the most consistent team this season and it has to be attributed only to Sachin and a little credit to Tiwary, Rayudu, Bhajji and Pollard.Quote:

Be it the cover drive between covers and mid offs or the one kneed pull sweep over the short fine leg.. We were truly blessed to see you perform in the finals. Whenever you played these shots, I was just thinking of the impact that it would have made on your hand especially the stitched portion.
The only thing that missed from your face today is the childish smile. The one thing surprised me was your emotions when Rayudu ran himself out.
When it all started, I definitely thought Sachin was not 100 % fit. Be it the toss speech with Senile where you looked like you were just out of your rest.. No shaven face.. The team didnt even support you with their fielding, with an easy catch going off, Fernando and Z Khan being the culprits.. We knew it wasnt the easiest situations out there.. But still you proved me wrong with your batting and your stable mind to hit the balls without any disrespect to your style of play..
One last wish.. Please help Dhoni to help lift the World Cup 2011 .
Little Arjun had plasters as well. Nice to see him supporting his dad's team.
Well there is nothing much to say. Congratulations Chennai super kings.
Bad luck sir. But you will achieve greater heights in Life. Thayavu senju adutha varusham ninga retire aana Indian cricket-kku oru kumbidu pottutu poitae irunga. Thirumba vandhiradheenga. Our audience don't deserve you.
Thanks RK, Nerd, TM, LM, Vineeth and one or two other souls who hanged on with us in this thread and supported MI just for Sir and his effort to win IPL. You guys have been really very very great. My sincerest 's to you guys.
.. my non-Sachin friend sarcastically said Anjali is a doctor and she would have put the plaster on Arjun's hand to support his dad :lol:Quote:

Lots of love for you sachin! You go on! Wish you all the best!
Fan forever!
there is no doubt in my mind that MI was the best team in the tournament...........the gap that they left behind with other teams was huge and thanks mainly to sachin tendulkar who planned and designed this beautiful team and its combinations over a year.......Sachin, the captain, was spot on while picking promising players like Dhawan, Rayudu, Sathish, Tiwary and utility international players like Mclaren, Pollard.........his usage of Harbhajan, who is good at containing only, at the intial overs was another masterstroke.......im sure, this IPL was Dilhara's finest performances of his life, again a feather in sachin's cap............
Sachin, the captain and also the best batsman in the world, showed the world how T20 batting can still be like a soft ballad rather than bang bang stuff.........the way he used angles, small boundaries, pace of bowlers, reading the bowlers and all these with a beautiful balance of head, bat and body - is a new trend set in T20 history.......we can clearly claim that he has successfully buried the weight of captaincy while batting nowadays.....
Sachin, the captain, came out strapped heavily giving us a image of blood dripping wounded warriors of hollywood war flicks.........his spirit and dedication to the game was taken to a altogether different level........his mere presence in the field and batting with that swollen face due to pain, is the triumph of human will power over pain, fear, insecurity, apprehensions......
Sachin, the captain, can walk away from IPL2010 with head held high - these are the incidents where cricket intertwines with human spirit and chokes you for words.....truly, Sachin Tendulkar, the name itself has long become a adjective as opposed to be a noun
I will continue playing in IPL: Tendulkar

Reply: Yeah but surrounded by mortals.
Heard that Doctors advised Sachin not to play, but left the final decision to him and he took pain killers for playing in the match.

Did you see his reaction when Nayar got out? Last time he reacted like this was in that famous Sharjah match when Laxman didn't respond for a run. Btw, he doesn't take any game lightly and we all know that :)Quote:
