I have been expecting you in this thread,since I know you are a big fan of sathyaraj..Pls continue with your interesting posts.

One of my fav Sathyaraj movie is Kadalora Kavithaigal from Bharathiraja... Perhaps the only love story movie that Sathyaraj has acted till date! Up until this movie most of the directors were dwelling on his charisma and causal dialogue delivery. For the first time, his histrionic talent were brought to the fore by this movie. IMO, it was one of the finest performances from Sathyaraj! Makkal En Pakkam - a pucca action movie alongside Raghuvaran ensured "hero" status for this talented actor who is versatile in playing multi-faceted roles - be it a hero or a villian or a "nakkal" comedian or even a character artiste! Of course I can't forget the famous enna ma Kannu dual with Rajini and the classic Tagudu Tagudu dialogue in Kaakhi Sattai :thumbsup:

படம், அடுத்த மாதம் திரைக்கு வர இருக்கிறது.

Sathyaraj has done many crappy film. They are usually tolerable because of him.

But Adavadi is the first Sathyaraj film I watched where I felt like I need to put my head in the toilet bowl and flush so that it can clear the dirt in the brain...just watching the first half an hour. The VCD is still on the shelf, collecting dust, mites, and longing for a new owner. Anyone interested?

I hope Sathyaraj himself has watched this film. To think that it came out at the same time as Periyar. Let's say through Periyar he gets 7/10 for performance, with Adavadi he gets -9/10. So, his score is -2. He has to work harder in better films now. Poor guy. I hope the days of crappy film are over for him.
