Among the female solos Sonnalum is heavenly. Netru illadha matram is beautiful too.
Pennalla is a lovely male solo. Anbe anbe (jeans) feels poignant and another favourite of mine.
Among the duets, En veetu thottathil is my top favourite, lovely lyrics.
"சொல்லுக்கும் தெரியாமல் சொல்லத்தான் வந்தேனே
சொல்லுக்குள் அர்த்தம் போல சொல்லாமல் நின்றேனே"
"எண்ணிக்கை தீர்ந்தாலும் முத்தங்கள் தீராது
எண்ணிக்கை பார்தாலே முத்தங்கள் ஆகாது"
adadadaaa  The song has a beautiful jalatharangam ( possible :? ) interlude as well.
Munbe Vaa will definitely be on the top of my list...
When the film was screened, a bunch of my friends and i went to watch the film...none of us seem to fancy Jyothika so we were all hoping against hope that the song would not be for her.
The moment we heard the munbe vaa bgm during the scene where Surya and Boomika meet for the first time, every one of us were whistling and clapping in the theater! :happydance:
On the same note, ARR had just the magical touch for each and every melody song he composed...Puthu vezhai mazhai, netru illatha matram, pennale pennale udapoo, anjali anjali, kanalanae, thoda thoda malarntadhene, venilave, sneghidhane, nenjinile, enna solla pogirai, and the list goes on...
There's something about his songs that make you stop all your work in hand and just keep listening to the song..whether it's the tiny little sounds he beautifully hides in between of the song, or the way he starts some of his songs on a slow note and move them effortlessly to a majestic note 8-) he's just too good! :2thumbsup:
