Tell me openly that this poll is conducted by Sachin fans and I dont trust that.

Maddy,
Naan erkanave solliten. Bowlers poll aarambikum podhu we can discuss that-nu. Lets talk about opening batsman.
no, there are no better openers than sachin IMO too but giving him a "unopposed selection" was taking for granted everyone's opinionQuote:

It's not taking anyone for granted. There's a second openers slot for those who want to vote for other than Sachin. If some one wants to open for two opening batsmen other than Sachin, then they are not following cricket properly.Quote:

Riyazz,
It's not about taste or opinion. You may not like Sachin or don't want to vote for him, that's your personal choice. But you cannot disagree that he is the no.1 ODI batsman (opener, to be precise). This poll is an exercise of picking the best in each position, as simple as that.

LM, Dont deny your logic. But oru vazhakkunnu vandhappuram, oru agni pravesham paNNi dhAn kAmichiruvOmE
Plum,
You have already started the poll, but I feel that's pointless. When it comes to opening in ODIs, no one comes near to Sachin. Why should we need a poll for something obvious?

can i say the same if bevan or Akram are not picked??? why "only" sachin gets the "cushion" of unopposed election is my pointQuote:

I dont think Sachin played long in No.4 postion. And also his record speaks for my comment as automatic choiceQuote:

Maddy, more than anyone else, Sachin stands out in his position. Agree/Disagree?
This was the basis of my choice not to have a poll earlier.

batting - agree but entire team-nnu paatha, i cant imagine anyone else at no.6 too other than bevan who will lose the poll anyways.......and Akram & warne are equal achievers/talent......Quote:
