Absolutely! I agree. Who can forget the amazing cinematography by Marcus Bartley for Maaya Bazaar (1957). Crystal clear cinematography in amazing locations with special effects. It would have been horrible if that was in color. Even I heard some bollywood old classics have been converted to color, but watched couple of those songs in color, but it was in bad taste atleast for me. Especially I like the dark shades and milky whites in B&W films which seems very natural and pleasant to eyes. Thanks Sir for posting another gem.

A.M.Raja kept his repute till his last. This melody is an example. This was a super hit in Ceylon Radio.

Do Raha publicised as a new wave film in 70s, was a super hit all over India. This was remade in Tamil and directed by A.C.Thirulok Chander with Sashi Kumar as hero and Nirmala as the heroine. Shankar Ganesh gave hit songs in this film including "Geetha Oru Naal" and another "Adimai Naan Aanaiyidu". The second song will be a sequence similar to Punnagai song "Aanaiyitten Nerungadhe". Both contrasting in lyrics ... While Aval song invites, the other throws out. An unforgettable movie indeed for Sashi Kumar's performance backed by Nirmala crying for sympathy.
