Here in Malaysia we get lot of tofu,
So in all panner recipes I will subtitute with tofu.
I am not clever in low calorie recipes.

[tscii]Here is a simple raitha, which my aunt told over the phone, while discussing about the paruthi.
DRUMSTICK FLESH IN CURDS
Ingredients:
4 big drumsticks.
½ cup beaten curds
1 shallot chopped fine
Little coriander leaves chopped fine
2 green chillies chopped fine
¼ tsp ginger finely minced
¼ tsp cumin seeds, roasted and coarsely pounded.
5 roasted groundnuts coarsely pounded
Salt to taste
Method:
Cut the drumsticks into 2 pieces.
Steam them till cooked.
Slit open and remove the pith with a spoon.
Mix all the ingredients well with the flesh. (pith)
Serve cold as a raitha.
kugan, drumstick flesh with curd is a different receipe, sounds so interesting. i will try this for tomorrow lunch and i will come back to u.
come on, kugan. donot talk about cleverness. diet cooking is control our oil, salt, sugar, coconut thats all. Our day today cooking only we can follow SOS. initially it will be difficult for us, then we will enjoy.

As selvi said, diet cooking is not rocket science... just a few experiments & u'll get the hang of it...
Spicy Watermelon:
Just sprinkle salt & KMP over the watermelon chunks... & eat...:)
Salt & pepper also goes well.

Summer Pita Sandwich
Ingredients:
4 wedges seeded watermelon
1 cup diced cooked chicken
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
Dash cayenne pepper
2 whole pita breads, halved
1/4 cup prepared spreadable herb cheese
4 large lettuce leaves
Instructions:
Place sliced watermelon on paper towels to remove excess liquid. Mix chicken, cilantro, yogurt, garlic salt and cayenne.
Spread inside surfaces of pita bread halves with herbed cheese and fill each with about 1/4 cup chicken mixture. Arrange watermelon and lettuce in pita bread.
Granola-watermelon-banana yogurt:
Ingredients
1/3 cup low fat granola
¾ cup de-seeded watermelon chunks
5 ounces low fat banana (or other substitute) yogurt
Instructions
In a large, cylindrical glass, to go cup container or plastic glass, create the following parfait:
Bottom layer: Low fat Granola
Next Layer: Small chunks of seeded watermelon
Next Layer: Banana Yogurt
Next Layer: Low fat Granola
Next Layer: Small chunks of seeded watermelon
Top Layer: Banana Yogurt
Garnish:
A slice of banana, toasted almonds or coconut, a wedge of watermelon, a strawberry or an orange wheel
