In 1990, Prashanth began his career with a hat-trick of hits. But for some bizarre reason, he voluntarily went out of market for three years - 1995, 1996, 1997 - in which he released 3 films only in all.

That was the window of opportunity when Thala and Vijay gave several back to back blockbusters and changed the landscape permanently!

On his comeback, Prashanth never recovered his dominance after that. But he has managed to give atleast 1 hit every year continuously from 1998 through 2005!

After 16 years, he still do not guarantee an opening. Vijay is steadily becoming the next Prashanth.

Both Prashanth and Vijay have several traits in common. Both have limited acting skills ranging from point A to point B. Both are celebrity sons. Both lack screen presence on the scale of Thala.

in PS, Ajithum PKum ore aLavu scenes irukku, PK does not have more

even the four songs consume 20 minutes, and the fights consume about another 20 minutes and in other normal scenes, Ajith is there :thumbsup:
